Annie Arcane (anniearcane) Review swapping is NOT allowed as it violates both GR and Amazon TOS. Any post even hinting at a reciprocal review will be deleted immediately. And really, really annoy me. Sooo now that I sound like a complete jerk...

We all need an honest beta read/critique from time to time, right? If that happens to be you right now, post in THIS thread with the following...

☛ Title, genre, blurb & approx. word count

☛ Date by which you need the beta

☛ What you would like critiqued
(typos, plot holes, characters, etc.)

☛ How you can be contacted if someone is interested

☛ ONE post per book. Duplicate posts will be deleted

☛ Delete your post when it's no longer needed

I really shouldn't have to say this next stuff but *smirks* y'all know I'm Captainess Obviouso...

This is the only instance where the non-reciprocal rule does not apply since critique will be sent directly to authors and reviews will NOT be posted.

Beta Readers: The operative word here is "critique". Be polite but HONEST. Or else it totally defeats the purpose.

Authors: You don't have to take anybody's advice but you did ask for it, so don't get defensive when you get what you asked for. In other words, if you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen, right?

Annnd this is why nobody likes me ROFLMAO!!!

Hugs,
Ann

Melissa Simonson (lissasimonson) Thanks for starting this thread, Ann! :) I'm in desperate need of a few betas.

Title: Burning September, 94k
Genre is something like literary fiction, it's kind of hard to classify, and I haven't even started blurbing, so....

It's about a pair of sisters, one of whom kills her ex, and the aftermath of that crime. Basically.

For obvious reasons I'd want to publish in September. I'm always hesitant to give much direction when it comes to what I'm looking for in a beta, because I feel like it can influence a reader's thought process, but I'm not worried about editing or whatever--mainly just story and flow, what works, what doesn't.

Contact me @ lissasimonson@gmail.com.

I like to think I'm a pretty awesome beta reader, and I know I have a few references, so you'd be in good hands by swapping with me :)

Thanks guys!
M
