SOLVED. Middle grade or ya fantasy book about a girl who plays bass in a band. [s]

I can't remember the title or author of this book I read in middle school 8 or so years ago. The main character was a girl who plays bass in a band. The fantasy part is that she controls water. The other members of the band also control an element like the drummer is earth, the guitarist is fire and the singer is air. I think there was an element of romance between the main character and the guitarist. I'm not sure if this is a spoiler or not but I know the main character either is mute or becomes mute through the book. I can't remember much more of the plot but I'm pretty sure the cover was brown with a bass on it. Thanks for reading and any help you can provide.
