message 1: by Angela (new)

Angela Dossett (whisperingwillo) I love to go outside and sit on my front porch and listen to the birds. I have found it quite relaxing. I usually take 5 to 10 minutes, reflect and get my day started with making a list of things I want/need to do.

Claire | 12 comments I wish I could appreciate the glory of mornings, but most of the time, its a reminder that I have to go to work.

message 4: by Heather (new)

Heather Heffner | 89 comments I usually stumble around trying to feed my cat. @Angela I'd like to start listening to birds too-- they're so active in the morning! It's quite pleasant to listen to.

Sharon Stevenson | 190 comments Well I hate getting up but I do like my early morning walk to the train station. I live near woods so I often see squirrels running around and it feels quite peaceful at least until I get to the road. A deer ran right past me one winter morning when there was a few inches of snow on the ground too. It was really cool to see as it was so close by - they are so fast!

Ericka Scott Nelson | 24 comments My schedule changes a lot, but right now I have to get up pretty early in the morning four days a week and I am so not a morning person. I find it very difficult to go to bed significantly before 11 pm and I really need 8-9 hours of sleep, so...this is a problem. On those mornings, I stare at my clock beseechingly and imploringly, stumble to the shower, get ready, scarf down some Cheerios, and start the drive to work. I listed to audio books a lot, but in the mornings I'm almost always a bit out of it, so just silence.

Phenice Arielle (phenicearielle) | 3 comments The first thing I usually do in the morning is whisper a thanks to God for allowing me another beautiful day. Then I stretch, and locate a scripture that almost always turns out to be exactly what I need for that particular day.

I make and or eat a quick breakfast while checking emails on my phone. Then is the workout. What follows is a genuinely welcome shower and the dressing for work.

However, the above varies in one area on the weekends. I don't check emails during breakfast on the weekends. That's me time. Me, my pancakes and I time :)

message 8: by Dina (new)

Dina Roberts I like reading about your mornings...especially the ones involving birds and squirrels.

The first thing I do in the morning (after using the bathroom) is write down my dreams. Then I read what I dreamed a month ago and a year ago.

message 10: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 169 comments Depends on the mornings, on the weather, etc. but in the summer, I like reading outside in the gazebo with a coffee. As long as it doesn't rain too hard, I'll go.

message 11: by Tracy (new)

Tracy O’Sing I'm with you Prismseven coffee, coffee, coffee, and read for 20 mins before being able to function...

message 12: by Luke (new)

Luke Ahearn | 15 comments Coffee!

message 13: by Mack (new)

Mack Moyer (mackmoyer) | 6 comments Yes, coffee. The most important meal of the day when combined with a cigarette on the porch.

Katie (katiehayoz) | 18 comments Tracy wrote: "I'm with you Prismseven coffee, coffee, coffee, and read for 20 mins before being able to function..."

The only thing that gets me up in the morning is knowing I have 15 minutes to myself to read and drink coffee. If I could skip mornings completely, I would.

message 15: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Kittle (vkittle) | 8 comments I'm up way before dawn and I play Star Trek Online and drink coffee until I wake up.

message 16: by Rinelle (new)

Rinelle Grey (rinellegrey) If I'm up early enough (ie. before my family), it's my best time to write. Otherwise, I snuggle in bed with my daughter and husband, then usually get and frantically get ready to go somewhere. I may or may not play a few ipad games in there somewhere...

message 17: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Medhurst (rachelmedhurst) | 10 comments I try and get some writing in before work and then a nice breakfast :)
