I really enjoyed that first one, as slowly as I was reading it. It's scary how intelligent the bad guys in this book are.

But Rizzoli, omg! What a bitter cow! Seriously, there's bitter and there's resentful and whatnot. Yes, she probably didn't have it easy in her life what with two brothers apparently always being in the limelight and then cops being idiots about women, but ffs! There's such a thing as overdoing it and feeling too sorry for yourself.

Yeah she is a bit "wo is me" although I did feel a bit sorry for her with her parents not really bothered by what she does for a living.

Started #2 last night but fell asleep lol, started again this morning, jumps straight in to the good stuff right from the off!!

Lots of medical chat in this one and Isles is in it a lot more, I can't remember reading this one either so it's nice not knowing what is going to happen!

Love Karin Slaughter books, Tamika! This R&I series seems to have kind of the same tone as Will Trent. Graphic, dark... Love, love, LOVE Will!

I'm guessing Rizzoli will grow on me..

You're not the only who thought that - Megan the book slayer hated it too. I personally really liked it.Good plot, witty banter, enough twists and turns to keep me guessing but not lost, good romance but not the central part, etc :)

I liked that series a lot but still need to read her Grant County series. I'm curious to see how it will compare. I thought this series was fairly gritty and dark.

I think my favorite Karin Slaughter book so far though is Pretty Girls!
