I visited Montreal once while I was staying in Toronto as an exchange student. The Montreal visit was only for the weekend but I liked the city a lot. I think it was pretty with all the small stores etc. Very different from Toronto.

If you want to go to Queensland, the theme parks are a MUST!!! Especially in October, Movie World does Fright Night (If you're not horrified by halloween stuff) and summer time, Wet'n'Wild is the place to go. Also hit up the SouthBank Parklands where there is a public lagoon pool that overlooks the Brisbane river. there's a Ferris wheel there and a theatre. If you like indie rock music (or music in general) they do Friday jam sessions there as well for free!
Across the river is Brisbane city. Hit up Queenstreet Mall, eateries and the Brisbane Botanical Gardens where I do a lot of reading.

The bar thing is that there is too much people, and smog so is annoying and tiring at times.
If someone wants to visit, the center of the city is very preatty because is old and there are many cool and old stuff to see. But in Chile there are many other places way more preatty and enjoyable than here, like beaches, desserts, lakes, woods, snow, etc. I really recommend that.
