ABANDONED. Sorceress who can't lie, and adopts two strangers as her brothers

It's a fantasy novel I read years and years ago. The main character is a sorceress who can't lie because of her magic. If I recall correctly, at the beginning of the book, she's running from someone, and bumps into a couple of strangers and asks them to adopt her so that she can get out of trouble. One of them had to stay covered head to toe because his race had either extra sensitive skin, or exposed nerves. I'm pretty sure it was part of a series. Oh, and at some point, the sorceress to the three of them through some sort of portal or spell that set them all back at the prime of life.
