For Grimluk, I made the Magi-Tell system. It's what happens if you cross telegrams and the palantir stones from Lord of the Rings with just a dash of radio. Because magic.
I also mentioned steam trains powered by elementals as a concept in A Demon in the Desert and I'll eventually introduce that proper and work it through.

That's pretty cool. I had a feeling you created something in your book or I think you may have mentioned it early on while you were getting it out there.
Yeah, most everything else thus far has been blue-collar magic ala Supernatural. Augmented weapons and whatnot for demon-killing. I imagine I'll get something else at some point but nothing's really called for it yet.
It can be pretty fun. Not tech but a while back i was lookg at architecture to come up with ideas for a later book. Picture elven antebellum. Dwarven gothic. And hell, the evolution of hobbit holes.
The reason I ask is because I've twice created devices in my stories and while they weren't any of my western stories I thought i'd ask it here since this genre would most likely see such innovative technology within it. I just wrote my first steampunk story and created something called a Aerocrometer. It's a device that measures the potency of air that can be turned into steam. See what I mean? Something like that.
