What book to read. Help!

I dont like gore and blood in book so...

Ghost story + psychological horror

What type of 'horror' do you think you may fancy? Ghosts, monsters, strange entities or situations? Novels, short stories?

I prefer novels. Usually with monsters and paranormal. I dont like books about vampires or zombies because its to usual and full of blood.

I just finished The Lottery and Other Stories and We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson

I loved these also, if you liked vamps I would of suggested his book Lesser Dead that was scary LOL.

Of my three books you might like The Bone Spirit. Not very gory, just suspenseful and even contains some Romance.
