Is this book as good as the previous?

I enjoyed this book and like it but I really was not super blown away even though I really couldn't stop reading this.

Cursed Child, although called Harry Potter #8, is drastically different from the amazingness and JK Rowlingy writing that is the Harry Potter series. That said, no, it's like apples and oranges. I love Harry Potter, but this book I see as more of an add-on.
