message 1: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Hi there!

message 2: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Hey, what's up brah?

message 3: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Nothing much. You?

Got any ideas?

message 4: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments I've been pretty much trapped in my house until I head back to school so life's great.

Not really other than I saw Star Trek the other day and I got super excited about SPACE. But Sci-fi is hard to rp with so idk

message 5: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Fun..

I agree, sci-fi is very hard to RP with.. But we can do some sort of fantasy idea?

message 6: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Yeah, I can do fantasy, what sort of thing did you have in mind?

message 7: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) I don't really know. Anything book based or original ideas are good with me..

message 8: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Well I was thinking and I have jack diddly squat so far.

message 9: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Well. Is there any book worlds you like?

message 10: by Wʀɛռ (last edited Aug 01, 2016 07:42PM) (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments I read the raven cycle books recently and I liked the idea of psychics and ghosts, but that's bordering back into sci-fi... Wait! Inspiration has struck me!

What if we did like a post apocalyptic world where pretty much everything is gone, but radiation has mutated people into fantasy creatures, so that way we're technically doing fantasy, but I get my science kick out of it and stuff?

message 11: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) That sounds pretty cool.

message 12: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Yes! I feel successful.

So do we want to do some basic world building and just throw our characters in so they can try and survive? Or do we want a fully functional plot where they have a goal that's important and stuff?

message 13: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) We can just have two characters trying to survive..

message 14: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Okay good because I'm not really all that up to figuring out what in the hell would happen in the second one.

So what kind of fantasy species are we talking? Magic or no magic? I can't think of any other questions.

And for the world, I was thinking that it could be all overgrown and wild again, except a few big cities are still there like I Am Legend style, only too radioactive for anything but roaches to survive so they're avoided. And then whatever is in the radiation goes insane/hulks out and becomes a scary fantasy monster for danger effect.

message 15: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Maybe like hybrids. So mostly human with some sort of animal traits?

Okay. That world sounds good to me.

message 16: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Okay, I can do hybrids. How do we want our characters to meet? I have two ideas so far, like they've either always known each other, or they meet on accident because they're running from a monster and they end up saving each other and decide to stick together until they at least have a safe place to live again.

message 17: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) I like the second idea.

message 18: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Awesome. So, characters?

message 19: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Sure. Can you make yours first?

Ekko is sensitive and sensible, but she hides all of her faults and weaknesses behind a healthy dose of sarcasm and bad jokes. Survival is only for the strong after all.

message 22: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Yay! Does this mean we're ready to start?

message 23: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) I think so. Could you start?

message 24: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Ekko wasn't all too convinced that everything was going to be alright anymore. In the past ten minutes she managed to get her home destroyed, lose pretty much all her possessions, fall off of a cliff, and, oh yeah, get chased through the woods by a megalomaniac radioactive jackass four times her size that wants to murder her. All in a day's work, right?

At the moment she was sprinting through the trees, trying to ignore the way her entire body was aching from falling, and praying to whatever was out there that said jackass would get tired and soon give up. Although it was far more likely that Ekko would get tired first.

Suddenly a tree went sailing by Ekko, narrowly missing her by a few inches. Really? A fucking tree? Ekko screamed bloody murder out of sheer terror and somehow managed to run a little faster.

message 25: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian gave up on thinking everything would be okay pretty much as soon as this apocalypse or whatever started. He immediately started to just focus on survival. Which meant food, shelter and weapons for him mainly. He lived mainly in a cave along the side of a cliff and was dozing off when he heard a scream.

Kyrian immediately woke up and quickly stood when he heard the scream. Grabbing the dagger that was sheathed at his side as he moved to the cave entrance to see what screamed.

message 26: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments This was so not cool. Ekko had just wanted to sit safely in her humble abode and make s'mores or something, but instead Ugly McFuckface had to come bursting through the wall with a thirst for murder.

More and more trees went sailing by Ekko and she thanked the lord that the beast had such terrible aim, however she had no idea how it managed to throw things so easily without slowing down. That was when the worst possible thing happened. Ekko tripped, and instantly the radioactive monster was upon her. Oh my God, I am going to die here.

message 27: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian followed the direction of the scream, jumping off the cliff and letting his wings open to carry him. He flew expertly through the trees, getting closer to the girl and the beast. He saw the beast ahead and the girl as she tripped. He swore and flew down, ready to attack.

message 28: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Ekko used her wing to throw dirt up into the beast's eyes as a distraction and scrambled out of the way of his attack, just narrowly missing being crushed by his fist. "Fuck off!" She shouted angrily, kicking it in the shin, but not doing much. Ekko was built for stealth, not brute force. The fact that she was pretty much half bat proved that.

message 29: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian attacked the beast from behind, slashing its throat quickly while it was distracted by her. He was good at stealth mostly but had been working hard to become a better fighter, knowing he'd need the skills if he had a chance at survival.

message 30: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Ekko was surprised by the monster suddenly dropping dead at her feet and she stood there for a few tense seconds staring in disbelief before falling to the ground in exhaustion. She laughed, not believing that she was actually alive, and to be honest, because she was a little hysterical and slightly in shock too.

It took her a few minutes before her brain made the connection and realized she needed to be looking for what made the killing blow only to notice some dude standing on the monster's back. Wow. He looked like an angel standing with his wings in the light like that. "Are you an angel?" Okay. That was definitely the shock talking, maybe she should shut up now.

message 31: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian sighed as the monster fell, wiping the blood off of his dagger in slight annoyance. He tucked it back into a sheath at his waist. He landed lightly on the ground, his wings still spread.

"Not an angel my dear. The wings are the wrong color.." He said, shaking out his wings. A few black feathers falling to the ground around him.

message 32: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Ekko blinked a few times just to make sure she wasn't seeing things before responding. "Yeah, okay, that totally makes sense." It didn't, not that Ekko really cared. What she did care about was that this was the first living non-crazy thing she'd seen in years, and Ekko was talking like a moron.

She watched as the feathers floated to the ground, suddenly self conscious about her own leathery wings and bat ears. His wings were beautiful, even if he said they were the wrong color, whatever that meant. Ekko suddenly realized she had been unabashedly staring st this guy for a little longer than what was considered comfortable and her ears twitched in embarrassment. "Sorry," she muttered and looked away.

message 33: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian studied her as she stared at him. Biting his bottom lip. "It's alright." He folded his wings against his back, them fitting under his shirt due to the cuts he'd made in the back of it. "Are you injured?" He asked, stepping closer and hesitantly offering a hand to help her up.

message 34: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Ekko hesitated before accepting the stranger's help and took his hand, letting him pull her to her feet. She savored the first real, not necessarily human, contact she had in who knows how long. It was strangely euphoric to say the least. Ekko was so fixed in concentration on the way his hand felt that she almost missed the question he asked her.

"What? Oh! Yeah, I'm fine. I think. I didn't really have time to assess, you know, with the adrenaline and all. Orcs throw some crazy parties you know?" She joked nervously, feeling out her limbs for injuries. "Nothing more than some bruises and a damaged pri-Ow! Okay I lied, my wrist hurts a little bit." She admitted sheepishly.

message 35: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian rolled his eyes at her. Not much of one for joking around. He gently grabbed her arm and examined her wrist, moving her hand slightly. Ky bit his lip, focused on assessing her wrist.

message 36: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Oh! Um, okay." Ekko said as the stranger took her arm. Not that she was complaining, because God it was nice to be in physical contact with and actual person because it was easier to convince herself she wasn't hallucinating again. She winced when he moved her wrist too much. Ekko could still move her fingers, so it wasn't broken. It was probably just a light sprain, but she didn't share these thoughts with the stranger, letting him come to that conclusion on his own if it meant being this close to someone. Yeah, Ekko was just a little bit socially deprived.

message 37: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian sighed softly. "It's just sprained.. I can wrap it if you'd like but that means you'll probably have to fly a bit." He answered quietly, letting go of her wrist and stepping back from her, not liking physical contact very much.

message 38: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Fly?" Ekko squeaked out nervously. Okay yeah, so Ekko had wings, and she could move them, but that didn't necessarily mean she knew how to use them to fly. Better yet, she'd never actually tried harder than jumping off her roof and gliding 10 feet down to the ground. Her wings were just so fragile looking and Ekko just never actually trusted them.

message 39: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian sighed softly. "You have wings.. You should be able to fly." He stated simply in annoyance. "Or if you'd rather. You can stay here and I will be back with stuff to wrap your wrist." He replied, looking around them with his head slightly tilted, listening.

message 40: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Okay now Ekko was really embarrassed, first person she met in like a decade and he just lectures her for being unable to fly. She didn't even know his name! Fucking rude. "Well maybe I didn't exactly have the luxury of time to teach myself flying." Ekko snapped back, her cheeks red with embarrassment. "Besides, I'm a good climber, I've never really needed to fly before."

message 41: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Whatever." Kyrian rolled his eyes. He turned and opened his wings as he jumped off the ground. He flapped them a few times, looking down at her as he hovered in the air. "Try to keep up then." He said before turning and flying through the trees.

message 42: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Fucker." Ekko muttered unapologetically before racing after him along the forest floor. It wasn't long before she could see the caves. No wonder he came running, he probably could have heard her screaming from miles away all the way up there. The problem was getting up there herself. Yeah Ekko could climb, but she didn't have any equipment and she had a sprained wrist on top of that. "Well this cliff ain't going to climb itself." She sighed before reaching up with her good arm and heaving herself up onto the cliff face.

message 43: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian flew close to the wall of the cliff before quickly banking upwards towards one of the smaller, high up caves. It was bigger once you got deep enough inside the cave, wide enough that he could spread his wings out at least. He landed on the edge of the cave and looked down at her.

message 44: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Motherfucking albino chicken wing and his stupid high up house." Ekko muttered to herself, climbing slower than her usual pace and being extremely careful not to put pressure on her sprained wrist. "You know what? He can take his stupid flying self entitlement and stick it where the sun don't shine." The wind whipped against the face of the cliff and she paused to readjust her grip and see how much further she had to go. Ekko was about halfway. Lovely.

Luckily, Ekko didn't have any mishaps while climbing the cliff, it just took her a long ass time because she was being extra careful since she didn't have any climbing equipment like she normally did. "Fuck you live way up here." She cried as she flopped inside the stranger's cave. It took a lot of energy to climb that far.

message 45: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian rolled his eyes at her. "I would've offered to carry you but I'm not too likely to help someone who keeps cursing me out every chance she gets." He answered, walking over with a bandage to wrap up her wrist. Ky knelt beside her, gently grabbing her arm again to wrap it.

message 46: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Yeah well I've had the most unbelievably bad day and it isn't even noon, which means I've still got twelve hours to screw up some more. Do you blame me for cursi-Ow! Cursing and huffing over minor inconveniences?" Ekko then pouted because she was a giant baby that couldn't seem to handle the harsh reality of life after the apocalypse and boohoo. Sue her for wanting at least a little sympathy after losing her house, her stuff, and the one connection she had to her family all in one fell swoop of a giant oversized fist.

message 47: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Welcome to reality Princess." He answered coldly. Kyrian didn't have the patience right now to deal with her whining about the reality that was around him. He thought about telling her to just suck it up and deal with it but figured that probably wasn't the best idea.

message 48: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments "Wow, obviously this mountain was the wrong place for me to try and throw a pity party, but whatever." Ekko shot back, sitting up and pulling her wrist away from the stranger, expertly finishing the wrap and tying it before he could protest. "And if that's all, I'm going to go try and salvage what little is left of my home, maybe finally grow the balls to go looking for my parents, and throw myself off a cliff a second time today because one sprained wrist doesn't sound like enough to me." The sarcasm and false enthusiasm in her voice was enough that even Ekko got annoyed with herself, wincing at her own negativity. "Do you ever just regret a sentence..."

message 49: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Kyrian sighed softly. "Chances are, your parents are probably dead or mutated already.. and let's not throw yourself off another cliff, it's really bad for your health, I broke my jaw when I tried it.." He muttered softly.

message 50: by Wʀɛռ (new)

Wʀɛռ (Cactus_Wren) | 467 comments Okay. That stung a lot more than was probably intended. Ekko knew her parents were probably not alive, but she refused to believe it until she was given proof. Evidence. Something substantial in this otherwise very uncertain world. She pressed her lips together and decided to ignore that comment entirely. "You broke your jaw?"
