***Spoilers***The main character is female and she returns to her hometown where her best friend had gone missing years ago. In the flashbacks, she and her best friend and some boys had put on the play Peter Pan. I remember the best friend returns to the town but had been mute for years before disappearing because she witnessed her fathers murder because he was abusing her. Anything would help! I really want to find this book!
