SOLVED. Medieval Romance - male character goes to a convent to force main female character to marry him [s]

I am trying to find a book that I read prior to 2004. It was a medieval romance novel. I do not remember the title, author or character names. What I do remember is that at the beginning of the book the main male character goes to a convent to force main female character to marry him. She isn't kidnapped, and I think the marriage was ordered by a king or duke as some kind of revenge payment for the main male. The night before they are married, she pretends to be the mother superior and has a conversation with him about how even though married to be kind and not force her or something like that. They of course end out falling in love. She is pregnant with his child. A man claiming to be a relative of hers comes by and tries to kill her and make it look like a horse riding accident to get back at the main male character. I know it is not a lot to go on but please HELP!

Reminds me of Julie Garwood's The Prize. In the beginning the main female character disguises herself as a nun and the guy character has been ordered by his king to retrieve her (by force if necessary).

I know this. I recently re-read it. The book is Maiden Bride by Deborah Simmons.
