brian was leaning against a wall in the hall waiting to talk to the princess as the seamstress was busy taking her measurements in her room

Caroline stood stiff, annoyed, as she had to wait for the measurements. sat down on her chair when the measurements were done, and watched her leave before taking a sip of her wine. Her guard informed her that Brian was waiting to meet her. She hesitated before letting him come in.
brian came in "look i thought maybe you and me could get to know each other a little, maybe over a little walk. i have always heard that your kingdom was very lovely, but never had the chance to see it do to all the fighting of our people" he said offering his hand
She was surprised he just walked in like that without any greeting or anything. She raised her brows and folded her arms. "Whatever you wish, my Lord."
"look im just trying to get to know you, not the princess that everyone sees but the real you" he said " and i was asking to take a walk with you, not trying to force you, but if you do not want to i will leave" he was trying to stay calm
She shook her head. "I'll walk with you.." she murmured, leading him outside.
"thank you" he said and walked out after her
Soon they were in the wide gardens of the castle.
brian whistled as he looked at the lush garden. "well that is two things in this kingdom that are more beautiful then they say" he said turning to her
She walked him further into the gardens, showing him all around. She loved showing off her garden. "Yes it is. This garden has been maintained to perfection for years."
"i see, my mother use to tell me about this place from back when our fathers were our age, they were the best of friends" he said
"Really?" she asked looking at him. She didn't know that.
"Oh.." she nodded. "I wonder what happened."
"from what I heard it was our grandfathers who tore them apart" he said
"well at least we're getting married now so now no one can tear us apart..." she muttered.
"well it seems you have warmed up quickly to me" he said with a smile
"Of course I haven't. I'm doing this for my family. No girl wants to marry a man she doesn't love." she said icily.
"true and not all men are curl and like forcing girls to marry them" he said((should we have someone attack them having him save her might have her start to like him))
((maybe but I think she just needs to get to know him more.))Caroline nodded. "I'm sure.." she looked ahead, away from him.
"It's getting dark.. When are your people coming?' she asked. The wedding would take place in this kingdom, she assumed.
"they should be arriving by morn" he said
"Okay.. Well have you seen your room yet?" she asked, trying to make conversation.
"no i have yet to see it" he said((i would think her father would try to have him stay in her room see as they are getting married))
((no I don't think he would until after they marry))"Alright. Well dinner is served at 8.30 sharp. So you have to be ready for that." she said.
"ill be there, if only to see the most beautiful flower in the kingdom shine all the more" he said
"Um, okay. Let me show you to your chamber." she said and led him back inside.
brian face-palms at his failed attempt at trying to say something romantic but follows
She smirked, rolling her eyes as she walked ahead of him. She showed him his room that was quite large but not as big as hers. It had a big bed and a large window with s view of the garden.
She nodded "I guess it is. I'll see you at dinner." she said before leaving.
"ill see you there" he said as he went and looked his room over a bit before getting ready for dinner
She put on a evening dress after a bath and fixed her hair. She went down for dinner.
She took a seat across from him and then the king and queen arrived.
She wondered why he didn't get up to greet her mother.
he was in deep thought that he had not notice them come in.
The king arrived with the queen into the dining hall.
he finally noticed and quickly stood up "my lord and my lady it is a pleasure to see you again" he said with a quick bow.
The queen welcomed him to the dinner table and sat down on her spot. Caroline smiled at her parents.
They were served the dinner in three courses.
They also ate quietly, expecting their guest to say something.
Caroline sighed and finished her meal quickly.
brian finished his as well "um thank you for the meal" he said
