I think we have. not sure. I'm horrible with remembering things.

Exactly!! It's the same for me!
I've never been on a serious team before. I'm afraid I won't pull my weight though I've been reading like 13-17 books the last two months lol. Maybe next summer because it definitely wouldn't be possible with school!

^-^
I did the fun team during Scrabble. worse choice ever. I hadn't be playing much so that's why i picked fun so i could get back into the swing of things, but i ended up reading like 50 books that month and it was a struggle to not just be like "can i just do the whole board please" haha.

@Andrea There are people that read that much in medium. I read about that much from time to time and I signed up for medium. I hope we're on the same team ^.^
@Nicole- I'd love to be on the same team as you we have a similar taste in books. :)@Brooke- if I do join a serious team maybe we'll be on the same one! Hopefully I don't slow you down lol. And I totally understand the irritation. It's how I feel when people ask dumb questions in my classes.
Brooke is AWESOME!!! I am in her team right now btw lol
And maybe you don't chat as much as we do(but we are just crazy I guess lol) but at least you do.
Once I was in a team where chat thread was not used at all. I mean team challenges are meant for that to chat to read together to get to know someone new, but during that challenge everyone did their job it was awful -_- so I was chatting with Bookbuyer and Tati on the general sign up thread lol
And same here Bookbuyer and Tati, it might be that we had am amazing teamwork, or that it was my first challenge and team, or that we were like each other (the 4of us +Danielle) but Jumanji was different!!!
And wow Tati I am touched and honored that you feel the same way. Since you have so much experience here lol i feel special right now LOL

I was in honors and AP classes in school and still dumb questions, i'm like how did you get into this class!? ugh.

Thanks :D sometimes i feel like i piss people off or come off as not caring about the challenge, but i work from 5pm to 4am, 4days a week. It's a 30mins drive each way. then sleep from around 7am to 3pm. Then weekends i have my 6yr old and he's demanding for attention. So it's really hard to get on here to even write reviews, much less chat. But i'm friendly and am lurking lots, haha. :D plus i honestly read a lot. (at 304 for the year already) so i pull my weight, but it's hard to do BR when you have read almost everything people are asking about or since i ONLY get from the library it takes weeks to get new releases and everyone wants to BR the day it comes out and i can't. It gets to me sometimes.
Yup you do!Actually this month, when I saw you were in my team I was like ohhh this is THE Brooke. I don't know why, maybe it's the quantity of books that you always read, I thought that you will be cold, but you actually turned out to be really friendly lol
Before that for me you were the Brooke, who ruins everything for the other teams lol now though... I am glad that I got to know you ☺️

Maybe thats why no one request me on their teams. oh well. I'll just keep being a "secret" weapon :D
Oh don't say that we all would love to have you in our teams, the question is would you? Since we do not read as much, well except Tati lol she reads a lot as well!!
Brooke wrote: "Andrea wrote: "@Nicole- I'd love to be on the same team as you we have a similar taste in books. :)@Brooke- if I do join a serious team maybe we'll be on the same one! Hopefully I don't slow you ..."
Haha, no I get it I really do. I'm in my upper level chem classes now and I'll be graduating in a year, but there are still dumb questions. Or people will ask the same question or ask a question about material the prof just explained. -.- Ugh I hate that so much. It's weird because I'm also a tutor and it's one of the funnest jobs I've had! I like teaching material, but I don't think I actually want to be a teacher. Lol.
If you're the secret weapon, I'd want you on my team!
Edit~A wrote: "Oh don't say that we all would love to have you in our teams, the question is would you? Since we do not read as much, well except Tati lol she reads a lot as well!!"I think abby and sarah usually split Tati, Sharon, and me up since we seem to be equally matched in reading amounts/speeds.

Yah i couldn't be a teacher at all. I LOVE school thou, just hate the classmates.
Well imagine... She reads 40+.. I am not sure she is a secret weapon, since everyone know about her but certainly a weapon!! LOL
Brooke wrote: "Andrea wrote: "Brooke wrote: "Andrea wrote: "@Nicole- I'd love to be on the same team as you we have a similar taste in books. :)@Brooke- if I do join a serious team maybe we'll be on the same on..."
Learning stuff is so awesome! That's also why I read. I kind of don't want to graduate and find a real job. If I could stay in school forever, I'd be okay with that ^.^
Edit~A wrote: "Yeah... I guess they do... While it's understandable don't you want to be in a same team??? Lol"That team would crush everyone. There wouldn't even be a competition lol
And here I though I was the only one that loves school!!!Even though I was an A student I did not like the studying part but my classmates and the time we spend together. Here in Armenia we don't change classes and classmates for every subject. They divide us in 5 or 6 classes(based on our numbers) and there we go... So we were stuck together since the first grade (there were 40 of us in my class but later 28) and we became kind of like family lol

That's kind of what happened to people who went to school around the area I'm in. It's a smaller community compared to Chicago so pretty much a graduating class stayed with the same students until the end of high school! I would've hated that because I like meeting new people too much :D
Actually we were friendly with our fellow classes, but not like with our classmates :) there were 5 classes in my year, that would be like 200 students for only one grade. But there are 5 if not more schools in our neighborhood so yeah... But actually I like American system, i would love to have that system here as well!!
My class had almost 500 in it, now most that go there are up to 800. The school system has 3 school for kindergarten, 5 elementaries for 1st to 4th grade. then a indeterminate school for 5th and 6th grade, then middle school for 7th and 8th. then a freshman academy then high school from 10th to 12th. had 7 different classes in high school daily, 4 in middle, and 3 in elementary. If college was free, i would go to a class every single semester. i just love learning.
Edit~A wrote: "Yeah we won't even have a shot!!! But it should be fun for them!"
I would go crazy if we were, since then i would know where they were point wise the whole time and i would want to win and i would neglect everything/one to read!
I love college. I wish I could've chosen all my classes for high school because I would've learned so much more! I had to take the boring bullshit classes which is very unfortunate. At least my last year there I got to take all the fun classes like AP Bio, AP European History and Human Anatomy & Physiology. All the science classes at college are ridiculously awesome and cool! And my english classes are nice stress relief, minus the one I'm in now it's just annoying and busywork.
For the Page Count Contest, do we count the edition we're reading, or can we use the biggest edition?
Maddison wrote: "For the Page Count Contest, do we count the edition we're reading, or can we use the biggest edition?"biggest.
Maddison wrote: "For the Page Count Contest, do we count the edition we're reading, or can we use the biggest edition?"but you should post the link of that edition, or they won't count it :)
Morning!!I'm flattered, but I'm nowhere near Sharon and Brooke reading-wise. I've had to slow down a bit this year, because of work, but I do my best.
As for Jumanji, I guess the team just clicked, all I know is that it was somehing else.
Boy, we're chatting LOL

I didn't like that one either.

I got it on NetGalley... Why though I am not sure... Still struggling with itIt's so slow-paced as well as really confusing >.<
The cover was enough to put me off that one, to be honest. I'm reading one now that is quite enjoyable

It's was like 'the' team for me. I've had some really good teams but that was the team I compared all others against. :)
