Michael kissed her softly with a small grin," Then we can stay here for a little longer then go get something to eat if you want too," She laughed softly," I suppose we will,"
She smiled "Sounds good. I am so hungry." she said before going to sit with Ryder.he smiled and leaned back. "Oh look. 9 more hours to go!"
He laughed softly," Oh are you?" He asked going to sit with them," then what would you and little man like to eat?" She smiled," Oh good it's only been 2hours,"
"I'm craving something spicy! I don't know what my baby would like to eat though." she looked at Ryder then back at Michael "What do you feel like having?"he chuckled "Yeah, only. Lets watch a movie"
"You're craving something spicy.. Okay." He said looking at her then back at Ryder," What do you say about getting tacos?" He asked the little boy.She sighed and leaned back," Alright we can do that."
"He can't open his mouth wide enough to eat a banana and you're talking about tacos!" she laughed.he looked through the ones that were on.
Michael looked over at her, "What?... I guess I haven't really watched him eat anything except this morning when we made breakfast."She read through them too, not really caring what they were going to watch.
She smiled sadly. "Well, he likes anything." she said, hugging Ryder.he picked out one and put it on play.
Michael watched them frowning a little, "i missed so much of his life." He muttered to himself, "Well you and Ry pick what you want." She sat back and waited for it to start
She let Ryder go and let him sit and play in the sand, making sure he didn't get too messy. She looked at Michael "Baby, he's only two years old. And your service to this country is very important. It's not your fault. Plus, you're here now and he loves you and that's all that matters." she assured. "Let's get some Chinese."he put on his headphones and glanced at her quickly before looking back towards the screen, watching and waiting.
He sighed softly and looked at Skylar, "That may be important, but I don't want Ryder to grow up like I did. I didn't really have a dad until I was 16." He looked over at him playing happily in the sand and then nodded, "alright Chinese sounds good."She put her headphones back on and waited looking at the screen but glanced over at him for a second
"Well you can't always have it both ways." she said sadly. "It's unfair, but it's the truth. Either go far away from home and serve your country or stay home and be a father to your son. I don't want Ryder to grow up without you, either, but I do respect your choices."he concentrated fully on the movie then, getting engaged into it.
He nodded, "yeah I know, but after this trip I'm going inactive so they can only call me overseas if they absolutely need me. So I will still have to be on the base for three days out of the week but the rest I will be home with you and Ry." he said.She watched the movie smiling a little at some of the weird parts
She smiled "That sounds perfect!" she kissed his cheek. "Okay I'm seriously starving. Let's go." she got up and dusted herself then Ryder. he didn't find the movie funny at all even though it was supposed to be a comedy.
He grinned a little, "I thought you might like it." He said. Michael laughed softly, "Alright come on let's feed my girl." he said getting up.She didn't really laugh just smiled a little
She smirked and held Ryder, walking back.the movie ended an hour or so later. "What a bore!"
He chuckled and walked after them after grabbing the blanket.Claire laughed, "Yeah I know."
"Did you have fun?" she asked Ryder as she strapped him in the car seat. He nodded. Skylar got into the car too. "Eat, and then where to?" she asked Michael. he shook his head "Ha, I know you liked it. You couldn't stop smiling."
He shrugged a little as he put the blanket away, "Where ever you want today is you and Ry's day to pick what we do."She smiled a little and shrugged, "Just because I was smiling doesn't mean I liked it."
"No, we'll do whatever you want to!" she said. "Ry and I go to places on our own too.""Of course it means that!" he snorted.
"No today is my treat... I don't get to do things with you guys and I want to." He replied starting the car.She giggled, "it does not."
"I don't know what we want to do next. We just really wanted to be with you. The rest doesn't matter.""Then why were you smiling? He asked.
"Alright fine how about we go home and... build a huge fort in the living room for Ryder and camp out in it and watch a movie?" he asked"Because some parts were a little funny."
She smiled "That sounds fun.""aha, you liked it! Caught you red handed."
He nodded," alright off to get us some food." She laughed," whatever
She got out of the car once they got there and they went inside, getting a table.he smirked "So... Seven more hours..."
He followed after her holding Ryder in his arms.She nodded," Ugh it seems to take forever"
She ordered for them, being hungrier than usual. "Yeah.. So what do you wanna do now?"
Michael chuckled softly as he listened to her order.She shrugged a little," I don't know."
She smirked at him "What? I'm starving.""This is why I hate plane rides. They're so boring."
He nodded," Yes I can see that dear." He said with a grinShe sighed," At least in a car you can take your time and do other things or turn the radio up really loud and sing along."
She smiled and rolled her eyes. She frowned then "My head is hurting again." she sighed rubbing her temples. he nodded "Yeah. This place is so public." he said.
He chuckled then looked over at her," You are worrying me." He said She nodded," Yeah a little." Se said looking around
"I'm sorry. You know how intolerant I am towards pain, though. I need something strong to get rid of it.. Might need a prescription.""So what's the plan for when we get there? What do we do then?" he asked "I mean, do you wanna stick together or go separate ways?"
He nodded," Yes yes I know that sweetheart.. How about we get our food to go and get you home then Ry and I can build our fort then e can have a picnic in it." She shrugged," I guess it depends on what all we want to do.. If its some of the same things then we can stick together for a few days then go off on our own others."
"Good idea." she said. She asked a waiter. Soon their food to go was there. She grabbed it and walked to the car with them."Yeah you're right. How about room?" he asked.
He chuckled softly and got up with Ryder tucked in his arms and followed her out to the carShe looked over at him," Hmmm... I'm not sure."
She sat in the car and closed her eyes."Why not?" he smirked a little.
He buckled Ryder into his seat whispering little things to him to make him giggle She looked over at him," Did your grandmother pay for rooms or just the tickets?"
Skylar rubbed her temples softly. "Uhh I dunno. There was just a lot of money." he said.
Michael tickled Ryder softly then went around to his side ad got in starting up the car She nodded a little," So then what should we do?"
"Daddy! More!" he called from the back. Skylar shushed him softly. "Up to you." he glanced at her curiously.
He chuckled softly," I'll get you later, but for now be quiet so Mommys head doesn't hurt."She shrugged," I think staying in the same hotel would be a good idea."
She smiled weakly as Ryder obeyed. "Can we stop by the pharmacy?" she asked Michael."Hotel or hotel room?" he asked with an amused look.
Michael nodded a little and drove towards the pharmacy they always went to," Yes."She blushed a little," I didn't mean the same room."
"You can wait in the car with Ryder, give me five minutes." she said before going inside when they got there. She picked up some medicine and read the bottle to make sure. It said not advisable for pregnant woman. That's when she realized that she should get a pregnancy test too. She bought the two things before returning to the car."Well I think we should have the same room." he said looking at her. "I mean, unless you're planning on bringing Italian guys over for sleepovers, then trust me, you can get your own room. Now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind inviting some girls over..." he joked.
Michael nodded, "alright then we'll wait here." He said as she got out of the car. He turned in his seat and looked at Ryder, "So little man are you ready to build a huge fort that we can have a picnic in?" He asked the two year old. He honestly loved this day of spending time with his son and he was glad he was taking these next few weeks off to be with them.Claire blushed even more, "I'm not planning on doing anything like that." she replied though she was laughing a little, "I'm fine with whatever you think is best."
Ryder didn't even know what a fort was but he was just excited anyway "Yay!""I dunno, now I'm confused too." he said smiling.
Michael chuckled softly and reached to tickled the little boy.She giggled,"How are you confused? You were the one talking." She said
"We'll see. Some day." he smirked.
