Ruby and Tink :)

Carson was done packing. He had nothing else to do at home anyway except write and read, plus it distracted him from the fact that his only close family member passed away. He had agreed to meet up with his travel buddy and decided to look decent for the meet. He shaves and showered and put on some clean clothes before heading out of his small studio apartment.

Claire looked down at what she was wearing partway out the door. She frowned a little and fixed her shirt and took her long hair out of it's pony tail. Of course today would be one of those days her hair had a mind of its own. Oh well she thought I'll deal with it and so will he.

As Carson made his way to the place they were supposed to meet, he couldn't help but wonder what they would actually talk about. Travel details? Everything seemed a little awkward. He didn't particularly like the idea of travelling with a stranger but he didn't mind it completely either. He didn't have many friends anyway. And if his grandmother thought of this, it was probably a good idea. He walked inside, looking around.

Claire walked into the café and hoped he wasn't waiting for her as she walked in. Of course as usual she was a bit early because she lived so close to where they were meeting. She sighed softly and went back outside to sit at one of the table there since she didn't want to be inside on such a beautiful day. Honestly she had no clue who he was or what they would be doing or even if they would get along

"Uhhh..." he looked around. What did she look like? He should have thought this through first. He picked up his cell phone, dialing her number. "How am I supposed to know which one of these women are you?" he asked when she picked up, looking for a girl with a cellphone.

Claire watched all of the people walking into the café. She wasn't really sure how she would be able to tell who he was if she really didn't know him all that well and didn't know what he was wearing. She looked at her phone and answered and laughed softly at his question, "You are just supposed to have super powers." she answered teasing, "I don't know... If it helps I'm sitting outside under the bright green umbrella."

"I do have super powers..." he assured her. He looked over and spotted the green umbrella but didn't go there. "I'll prove it- you're wearing something red, waif no, it's sort of pinkish...."

She giggled softly and waited for him to find her though she tuned around and began looking for him. However there where too many guys on phones and she didn't know who he was, "Fine.... " Her musical laughter was heard over the phone, "Yes I am wearing something kind of pink."

"And how did I know that? I obviously can't see you.. Superpowers. Never underestimate them." he hung up then appeared in front of her while she was faced the other way, looking for him. He was sitting across from her when she turned around. "You look much older than you sound over the phone." was the first thing he said to her face to face, not realizing she may take it the wrong way.

"You must just be that awesome." she said before they both hung up. She looked around for him a little more and then turned when she heard a seat being pulled out close to her. She frowned a little at what he said, "What? "she asked

"No, I meant your voice sounds young for your age. Like a sixteen year old girl perhaps. On the phone. You don't look old, I mean, you look good, I mean uhhhhh...." he was obviously not good at making friends. "Anyway, let's drop that. Hi."

Claire stared at him for a while as he tried to help what he had said earlier. A slow smile spread across her face and she giggled softly, "It's fine don't worry about it." She said," And hello."

he smirked leaning against the chair. He looked at her for a moment. "Travelling the world with a pretty face and all for free. I've won the lottery haven't I?" he joked. He looked at the cafe menu.

Claire blushed a little bit under his stare," Well you might have but I'm pretty sure I'm the one who hit the jackpot."

"Yeah, no argument about that. My looks are incomparable." he said and shrugged. "Anyway, I'm just joking around. "I don't plan on any scandalous around the world affair type thing. I actually just got out of a relationship. I'm just going to go around wherever we go and just do whatever there is to be done."
((I'll be off now))

Claire giggled softly," oh I wasn't planning on anything like that while we were away." She said softly not laughing anymore.

"Hmm, okay. I think I'm gonna get a latte. You want anything?" he asked as he called over a waiter.

Claire nodded," I just want a green tea, please." She said softly

"Alright. Green tea and latte please." he ordered before leaning back and looking at Claire. "So we'll meet at the airports tomorrow at noon, just wait for me if I'm not there yet, then we'll do the rest together. How's that?'

Claire looked over at him and nodded, "That's fine with me.. I've never actually been to an airport so this ought to be fun." she admitted

"You've never been to an airport..?" he asked not quite believing it. "You've never flown anywhere that means... Please don't be one of those annoying people who are afraid of flying."

She shook her head a little, "i'm not afraid of flying I just never had the money to fly."

he nodded "Oh, okay." he sighed and looked around. "So how did you come to know grams so well?"

She watched the people walking by them then looked back at him, "I worked at the home she was staying in and she was in her room one day watching a movie and singing along and I couldn't help but join her."

he smiled a little "That does sound like her."
(got an exam, wish me luck! Bye)

She nodded slowly, "yeah she was so sweet."
(Good luck! I'm going to bed night))

he nodded, looking down. He didn't want to think about it right now. It would make him sad. He sipped at his coffee when it came after adding sugar.

She stopped talking after a little bit trying to come up with something to say that didn't remind them both of someone they both cared for.

he didn't know what to say anymore. He just sat and drank. "So uh.. Where was the first place we were going?"

She stared at the people all walking around and enjoying the nice day. "Oh.. umm... I think we are going to Italy first."

"Italy? Are you sure?" he asked, thinking about it.

Claire shrugged, "I'm really not sure... I think we are going there though."

he paid the bill when it came. "Yeah, well we'll check when we get back."

She nodded a little, "I could have paid for mine." she said softly

"Oh, it's okay. Maybe next time." he smirked. "So I guess I'll see you then." he said as he started to get up. "Nice to finally meet you, Claire."

She smiled a little, "Yeah see you later."She said still toying with her cup as he got up to leave, " It was nice to meet you too, Carson."

he nodded at her "So do you need a ride somewhere or are you good to go?" he offered, being the polite gentleman that he was at heart.

She shook her head a little as she got up," oh I'm fine, my apartment is just a few blocks away, but thank you anyways." She said sweetly

"Oh.. Well okay. See you later." he walked out towards his car.

She smiled and waved a little as she walked towards her apartment," See you later." She called

he went back home and quickly finished up his packing. He grabbed something to eat from the kitchen.

Claire walked home and started packing knowing she'd probably be up all night getting things ready. She said softly, this trip would be a little awkward if the two of them could get along we'll

Carson went to sleep after a while, trying to be fresh the next day when they would have to travel.

Claire fell into an exhausted sleep around 2 that night. She had finished packing and cleaning her entire apartment

after dressing in the morning he met up with some friends for breakfast telling them what was going on.

Claire woke up with her alarm and got rest for the day. Her best friend let herself into Claire's apartment an they had breakfast together and talked until Claire had to get ready to go

soon, Carson was at the airport at the spot they fixed for them to be. He looked to see if Claire was there yet.

Claire walked into re airport looking around wide eyed. She pulled her bag along behind her looking around for the spot she was supposed to meet Carson.
Michael waited for her to come downstairs. They had been married for a little over two years and he didn't care that people thought they were crazy for marrying so young. He grinned a little seeing Skylar and Ryder come down the stairs, "Hey." He said walking over to them both.
Claire sat in her room pulling clothes out of her closet to see what would be good to where as she traveled around with one of the grandsons of an elder woman she had cared for at the home. It was still a little hard to believe that she was gone, but she was happy that she was getting to go out of the country. Claire looked at the clock and then fairly flew out the door she was meeting the guy she was to travel with at a café not far from her apartment
