@Edita- sometimes. Depends on how the last on made me feel. If the series was good and I can read the next one I will. If it wasn't then I usually try to go for a contemporary stand alone. Those almost always get a smile on my face those fantasy is definitely my favorite genre. I love the little cutesy stuff too.

What i meant is when you read so much of it that you need to freshen up and come back. Like eating a ginger between sushis in order to clean up the previous's taste... You know what I mean?

That actually happened to me yesterday. I needed a cleanser after reading some pretty vivid stuff. I love those cutesy stuff too Andrea. It chases all the heavy stuff away and motivates me to read.

I'm also not a huge fan of sci-fi. At least true Sci-Fi. Just like I don't like true Fantasy either. I like more of the fringe and sub genres. :)

I don't mind not having a Romance and I love Sci-fi, like The Martian. I like all genres to be honest, but I haven't really gotten into Historical Fiction yet.

I have the opposite problem. I can’t watch the Martian but I can probably read it lol. I've learned that romance isn't a must for me but it certainly doesn't hurt.

It's just 2 hours and I love movies while reading, well for me, takes at least 6 hours. Without romance I will get bored

Reading is my first love. My attention span when it comes to movies/tv shows though always wavers. I could read a book 6 hours no problem but even a movie for 2 hours straight I can hardly do. There are so many series I'm interested in. I'm fine for the first hour or two but then I inevitably pause and lose interest and turn to reading.
