I was going to buy the first book in the #24 series. Is the first book good, at least?

I gave it 4 stars, so I really enjoyed it

Not for me, no. I think I read 25% or so before calling it quits.

Unfortunately, that's the case with a lot of series I've read. Start out so good, but fall with the second book and onward. Felt that way about Matched, The Maze Runner, Rebel Belle and several others.

The Maze Runner completely fell apart. The ending of the series was just awful, and it felt like such an easy cop-out...

I enjoyed the second book of 24. It dragged for the first half but after that it was good.

I liked the Maze Runner series but the last book kinda left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's why I'm never reading any companion novels.

The series that fell apart after book 1, for me, was Uglies. I loved the book book but pretty much hated the second one. Haven't read the third. I'm even hesitant to pick up anything else by the author.

I made it to book 3 of Uglies, then I dropped the series...

I was annoyed all through Pretties (did the other guy have to be there? especially in a romantic sense?) but the final straw was the ending.

I couldn't get thought book 1 of 24. I DNF it the first time, then grabbed the audio to see if that would help, i finished it, but think i gave it a crap review still. didn't keep going either.

First, try using google image search you'd have luck with a couple of them. Then try listopia with the genre closest to the image mood. Lastly, go through some members' bookshelves, that helped me a lot with most covers.. I hope that helps :)
