Allan Walsh | 10 comments Thanks for sharing your stats and info, Marie. I have only tried FB and AMS ads and I'm not having much success (around 4 sales a month). FB turned out to be expensive and not worth the effort with the ad format I was using, I will try some variations down the track to see if I can get better results. AMS I'm still testing, but so far I am in the black with cost against return. It is good at increasing visibility and inexpensive. I have dabbled with some free giveaways, but not on paid services, just through SIA, Goodreads and my own blog. Goodreads did a good job of building my TBR list and I got a few reviews from it, so I think it is a worthwhile activity. I will note that my giveaway for a single copy of a book had a very similar result to a giveaway for 5 copies of another book, so I will only give away one copy if I do another giveaway here on Goodreads. It is more cost effective.

Marie Silk | 1025 comments Hi Allan, I am still testing out AMS too :). I actually made a couple bucks on my last ad so that was nice (considering I lost $50 on the ad before that, doh!). I run Goodreads giveaways about twice a month and I agree that offering 1 book has about the same results as offering more.
