Changing a book's description

I've been trying to change the description for this edition to the default description a few times already but so far it hasn't worked. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Just blank the description and save. The "use default description" option hasn't worked in years.

ETA: It occurs to me I wasn't as clear as I could be. Blanking and saving will in fact apply the default description, if there is one. If there isn't, you can go find another edition that has an edition you want to set as default and set one, and it should still apply.

It does if you then edit it and re-save it as the default (2 additional clicks).
