While I like all of 'em, I'm especially a fan of #3--the enemies-to-lovers trope is such a blast.
2 and 3 are both sweet, but I especially love the 3 situation

I tend to like stories where both WANT each other, but external people and events make the relationship a bad idea. You know it's love when it's not a simple as them moving on with the next hot person lol. It's something so swoon-worthy about the moment when all the walls they both (or one of them like your #2 choice) built up comes crashing down and they just can't help but give in, consequences be damned.
As for #2, I like this scenario only when the person who has to come around has to actually work towards getting their love. I never really cared for the whole, nerd loves popular girl and then one day when the hot girl decides she's ready to bless him with her attention he just snaps into line. Lol. I need some sign or gesture that the stubborn love bird is all in, too.
I also LOVE hate you so much I end up loving you situations (#3) lol
I like when both people are in love and trying to make things work. I wish that we had more gay couples in main stream stories. I am a straight female, but I want to see writing reflect the reality of our World when it comes to loving relationships.
Thanks for the input! Sounds like I need to work on writing more of the #3 situations! Lanae - I totally agree that there has to be a compelling reason for one person to change their mind. I don't think someone should be magically rewarded with a partner just because they want them. There has to be something about the situation that changes.
Elizabeth - yes, I like to have a variety of relationships with my own characters. I've written a few lesbian scenes, but I'm pretty hesitant about writing a sex scene between two males. I don't know what the equipment feels like so I don't think I can talk about it too persuasively!
Monica - yes, I like the oblivious/in denial motif myself. I want to work on using that one more.

Personally, I'm a fan of 2. I like to see the push and pull where one person is way more into the relationship and the other has to catch up. And I enjoy either the POV or their love interest being the person that has more commitment to the relationship. Although I do have some love for 1 and 3, I think I tend to gravitate toward the 2's and those tend to be my favorites.
