Ria (ban1chka) | 118 comments I got my graduation gown from school today and guess what - it's in Gryffindor colours! I get to be a Gryffindor for a day! My genuine excitement over this is unnatural lol I honestly don't remember the last time I was so excited over something.

Hey everyone!

Finally...finally finally!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed goodreads so much... I missed my books, I missed all of you, your reviews, your comments, our discussions...

It's been a very difficult year. I had absolutely no time for myself. Now, finally school's out and I can enjoy a couple of carefree months reading whatever I like. And I really want to make it worthwhile.. So after a 10-day -break of doing absolutely nothing and staring at the trees in the middle of nowhere, I'm finally picking up from where I left off..
I've already started reading The Goblet of Fire. Is anyone else reading any of the HP books?

So how is everyone? Any recommendations from your 2017 readings so far?

Hey Lena! I will be reading the Deathly Hallows soon after everything calms down and I can finally sit down and read. Audible books have been a life saver these few months.

oh man I'm behind.... Please let me know when you do. I'll try to read faster. If I don't manage to catch up with you I'll just skip a few books and I'll join you.

I tried an audio book around March. They simply don't work for me. I cannot focus while listening for more than 5 minutes. As it appears I am a good reader but a poor listener. :/

I have one book in front of it, which I haven't started. It might take me awhile so don't rush! Enjoy the books!

Welcome back Lena! I know what you mean about life happening and getting in the way of our reading time. lol
I'm currently reading (slowly) Half-Blood Prince, but am battling a reading slump and balancing other buddy read obligations so you should be able to catch up in no time!

Ria (ban1chka) | 118 comments It's good to have you back, Lena!
I'm the same with audiobooks. It's weird, because if I want to understand something, it's easier if I listen to someone explaining it. But if I have to retain facts, nothing happens. The moment I hear the information, I've already forgotten it. I didn't know how bad it was, though, until I tried listening to an audiobook. Not only did I keep getting disctracted, I also got really sleepy lol I probably slept through half of Life, the Universe and Everything :D
I started the Half-blood Prince, but I've only read a chapter and don't really feel like it atm, so I could wait for you, if you want, unless you decide to skip books and join Alex, which is fine too :)

Hey Ria!!!! :)
Of course I would prefer to read all the books in the correct order. The only reason I considered skipping books was because I am practically reading them alone and I have already done that... This time I would like to do it with you guys, so we can discuss. Your comments make me realize things that have never crossed my mind no matter how many times I read the books or watched the films. And I love that...

So yeah whenever you ladies feel like reading any of the final books I will skip a book/books so as to read along with you. Just let me know!!!!

I'm currently only 50% through Half Blood Prince and haven't picked it up in awhile... I think I'm in a reading slump!
