I empathise with Harry's frustration at Lockhart, can't say I'm particularly fond of him either!
I love how creative Rowling was with the spell Lockhart used in Harry's arm though!

It was very creative indeed! She does this quite frequently. She was particularly inventive regarding the spells..

I just can't believe Hermione is so blind with Lockhart. So unlike her.. I love the way she changes though. We see some real character development here. "Well if you two are going to chicken out, fine. She said"

Lockhart is so annoying! I agree that it's frustrating that Hermione is all gaga for him. It is nice to see her acting like a normal girl though.
