I read this book around 2011.

It's a love story and it's about a girl and guy who fall in love but the girl hunts demons and evil creatures and the guy is an angel of death/demon/I'm not sure??
The guy ends of sacrificing himself for her at the end in a church? He's described as handsome? Sorry I don't remember more.

matches the description other than he sacrfices himself at a gym but there's a battle in a church later in the series. And it came out in 2014
