Updating cover with hi-res version?

Hi all - hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

The cover on this book is poor quality

I know we are not to delete or replace covers - does this apply even if we're just replacing a cover with a higher quality version of itself?

Sorry, I managed to find my answer using the search discussion function. So I've confirmed that I can replace it if it is the same cover but better quality, left a librarian note... but what if they are not exactly the same? Is this where you would create an alternate-cover edition as per this? For reference, the request I am working on is here and I've left the cover that isn't exactly the same - untouched.

I've looked at both covers side by side and I don't see a difference (apart from quality). Now I want to know what the difference is :)

Please leave a change comment (not a librarian note) when uploading the new cover, that will show in the librarian changelog attached to the cover change. The change comment is at the bottom of the edit page.

Ah, ok - thanks, Arenda! Should I go back and remove my librarian notes and put in change comments now, or am I too late?

Change comments can only be left when making the actual change, so that is not possible.
I wouldn't bother removing the librarian notes.
