Great! I'll be reading them between the 1st and the 10th of August. Since I'll be on vacation in Maine then and reading only from my kindle and that's where these are.

Is there any particular structure to doing a buddy read? I've never done one before.

Thanks Connie. I've had this series on my list for months and something else more interesting I guess meant that it was never chosen, so I am ecstatic that I will finally get the chance to start it.

Oh, okay. You've blocked personal messages so I wasn't able to reach you directly. Three of the series posted list books that are pretty far apart (#12 & #5; #20 & #12) That just added to my confusion. I've disallowed other folks who posted re-reads so I'm trying to be consistent and fair.

I'll make sure a series is picked for you in a couple of days.

*as a rule i don't read series books in numerical order. more of an order as to how their availability comes across my reading journey path. i like to think of it as reading kismet.

I have done several, and there is no real structure, but just comment and compare notes as you read. You can do daily, by each book, or however you choose. I have already read the first 2 in the series, but will re-read with you. They are on my Kindle as well... I just got the 3rd book recently and have not gotten to it yet...

Jeanne (oldemill) | 204 comments I just finished my first August serial challenge book, Glazed Murder by Jessica Beck. There are several similarities in plots and characters to other cozy mysteries, so it's hard to see who was the originator. I liked the book and will probably finish this series.
