I read a book about 12 years ago. It was a romance. It was about a duke that met a peasant girl that was dressed a armor and was thought to be a guy, but when it was revealed she was a girl he had to marry her, but by then she was in love with him. He married her then went off to war. They thought he was dead, but he was held prisoner. A year later he came back, but she wasn't the same innocent girl he left. She found out he really never loved her and she hated him, but was still in love with him. Someone started trying to kill him and he thought it was his wife so he was treating her like dirt and in the end she risked her life to save him.
