Actually I'll probably use the Romance because I'm reading Cruel Crown tomorrow, so I don't have to worry about this one :)

Gillian Flynn is very clever. She has a sick imagination which will continue to make her stories sought after and remembered. The trouble I had with this story is that I really disliked all of the characters with the exception of Curry and his wife. I felt the same way with Gone Girl, but the difference was that I really couldn't figure out the plot as the story progressed. With Sharp Objects, it was little surprise who the killers were. The suspense was understanding the "why" which still didn't add much but it was still clever nonetheless. Overall, this was just a bit too disturbing for my taste. I have one more book from Gillian Flynn on my shelf and I will likely wait a bit before reading. Gillian Flynn certainly knows how to leave an impression. The three stars is mostly for recognizing her talent for "crazy". LOL

Review: Eh this one was alright. I started off really liking it, but the abruptness or Queen Song was really surprising. I wasn't that emotionally connected either. I'm glad I read it after Red Queen or it'd be rather confusing. I was surprised that (view spoiler) In Steel Scars, I quite liked the revelation that (view spoiler) One thing I didn't like was all of the Decoded messages. They were kind of confusing to follow. Glad I read these two though. Started Glass Sword already which is catching my attention :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I havent read a fantasy novel that has sucked me in like this has. The plot is so good and patch's and nora's story is captivating. The villian was also not as predictable as some authors usualy are. I cant wait to continue this series and see where it takes me.

I really liked this one and I am so here for all the fairy tale retellings that have been happening lately. I loved that this one was a spin on Snow White but a lot gritter than what you would expect. The characters were so well developed and this was a really great read. I cant wait to read the next one.

Can I cound my current book? It's second in series, so I know it'll count.

Overall, I didn't really enjoy the writing style of this book, especially in the beginning but I got used to it as I kept reading. I also didn't really like the ending, I felt like too much stuff was left unexplained (view spoiler) but I guess that's why there's a second book. I don't know if I'm going to read it though. I definitely wouldn't highly recommend it to someone when I've read better books recently but it was a nice easy summer read.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

And if only we'd rolled a, 11 or 12, then I could have counted The One anyway haha.

Review:
I've had this book on my to-read shelf for a long time. I don't even recall who recommended it. While the book was fast-paced and somewhat entertaining, I know I need to be more selective with my YA choices. This book is about an assassin name Celaena who is rescued from a death camp to compete in a competition for the King. She is supposed to be this incredible, neck-breaking, spine-crushing, kill-you-blinded-folded-with-her-bare-hands kind of assassin who also happens to be just 18 years old. However, what threw me off was once she got to the castle, her demeanor was just so juvenile and prissy. It really didn't make any sense. I would have liked it better if she got to the castle and had to struggle with wearing dresses and frilly attire instead of lavishing in it and acting like a high-school girl constantly getting dressed for prom. On top of that, the "romance" just took over the story. I really wanted to learn more about her and focus more on the action and intrigue surrounding her skills. It was a good story, overall, but I'm not interested enough to continue with the series.

Review: Yet another awesome book by Michael Grant :D One thing that did slightly disagree with me though was (view spoiler) I like the goryness of it, the realisticness and the detail. I also quite like the Master of the Game. He fascinates me, in a gross way. I also like the way they can delve deep into people and see their deep fears, and I also weirdly like how they put people through those fears in the hope that it will change their lives. I just really like the concept. Love this series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Once again Merit and Ethan and the group are back at it again. I loved Ethan in this one and how he really started to warm up more to Merit. This one has plenty of action and there was the introduction of a few new supes and I liked it. I cant wait to read the next one.
