John Marrs - Still nervous even though it's my third book!

You don't need to worry with the new one. I think everyone who's read it so far has been quite bowled over.

I read somewhere Sir Laurence Olivier threw up every time before he went on stage - from nerves.
I wouldn't worry - if being nervous gives you the heightened awareness to stay on your toes and guide the launch. I'm hoping I'll get to that stage again. Only have the one, and I'm having trouble putting up the short stories - because I'm nervous!

Yep. I get nervous.

It's being so cheerful that keeps me going. ;)

Because I expect perfection from myself.
And because it seems everyone feels perfectly comfortable telling me what's wrong with what I've done, even if I've thought it out very carefully and done it deliberately, from cover to pricing to formatting to... well, everything.
I'm recently published, but I've been writing over twenty years (long story involving chronic illness and a very complex novel).
I have chronicled the whole process on my blog (liebjabberings.wordpress.com), but I'm an odd duck in every way imaginable - nobody looks at the way I plot and write and says, "Let me copy that." More likely they back away slowly from the crazy lady.
You asked. If you're more curious, PM me or use the contact email on my blog.
Nervous because I'm defending my whole being and career when I put my writing on Amazon.
And now I'll have to prove that the second book of the trilogy is even better than the first, and finish the story properly in the third. If that's not nerve-wracking...!
As I said, you asked. Innocently, I'm sure. Sorry for the double-barreled shotgun answer.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but thought I'd add my two pennies worth as I have a third book coming out on Amazon eBook on July 15.
I must admit, I'm just as nervous about book three as I was with book one - is this typical?
Are those of you who have more than one novel out still concerned when you come out with something new? Reviews, sales, etc.... I thought I'd be as cool as a cucumber about it by now - turns out I'm not!
And for those of you who've got this far, the plot of A Thousand Small Explosions is thus...
One simple mouth swab is all it takes.
One tiny DNA test to find your perfect partner.
The one you're genetically made for.
A decade after scientists discover everyone has a gene they share with just one person, millions have taken the test, desperate to find true love.
Now, five more people take the test. But even soul mates have secrets.
And some are more shocking, heartbreaking and deadlier than others.
