I was looking around and this was the first group I found and joined it... that's really why...

I was looking at all the groups wasn't sure and liked the name of this one. I just want more reading ideas in my reading and this group seemed uncomplicated, friendly and I just want to read books :)

I have joined a lot of challenge groups but not any reading groups. I saw this group and decided to join
I joined because a friend invited me and I'm always looking for a new book to read. And everyone looks friends so I decided why not.
My therapist said that I should be more social, and suggested joining a book club. Some internet searching later, I found Goodreads. The name of this group caught my eye, and the rest is history.
I love the idea of a space where people can talk about books, books, books!
I happened to see the name of the group when I found myself with a bit of extra time and I started looking at UK groups - I didn't know so many existed on Goodreads. I chose this one to join as it caught my eye. Well done to the designer of the pink writing and the D.E.A.R.
I joined this group to find new and amazing books to read as well as make new friends. So hopefully this goes well being here!
I was looking for a group that had active threads and members to share books and ideas with. I picked this one by random draw. :o)
I’ve been looking for a book club/group that was fun and what I saw while looking around the page looked to be fun.
The organization of this group is what got my attention. And I love meeting new friends who love to read as much as I do. I look forward to being a part of this group. I hope I can bring something to this group that may be different, maybe like some new ideas.
A divorce, job stress and then new relationship kind of took reading as a passion away from me. I didn't realize I'd lost a truly great outlet/escape until recently. Still finding it difficult to FIND stories I can fall into so I thought this group might help. And I'm ALWAYS on the look out for good audiobooks as I work in an accounting office and a lot of tasks are mundane enough for me to listen while working.
I joined, hoping to connect with people who love reading as much as I do. I have to say though, haven't spent much time here.
