I was curious as to how many writers in this book group that are inspired by feminism in their own writings?

I'm an amateur writter, I've never published anything but right now I'm writting a feminist fiction novel about domestic violence.
I'm an author who certainly falls into that category. Women are main and prominent characters, free from the hindrance that gender will stymie their goals in life. Only one character ever, briefly confronts the idea that she may receive different treatment based on her gender, however, it is quickly ended with, I think, the best of responses. Ageism, Sexism, Racism, all of these things are easy to stamp out in the wonderful medium of fiction. The reader imports their perspective onto the story, all you need to do as a writer is foster that freedom.
I am not sure if I can consider myself an author yet, my only novel is somewhere forgotten in my computer files, waiting for me to start working on it again. But it definitely involves intersectional feminism (lgbt themes), even if it is YA.
My dozen books are all infused with feminism, exploring women's contributions and ideas when they're ignored. I edited two books about women's culture and creativity, wrote two books about equal relationships, and my global youth trilogy in process includes a book about young women's issues and activism. I'm glad to share chapters of the latter for your critique and additions. gkimball atcsuchico dot edu
