For our non-fiction pick, we're reading Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void, by popular science author Mary Roach.

Her other books have been massively successful, and we're diving into her one about space!

Lynnette | 166 comments I am glad this was the choice. If I can get it @ local library. I am in.

Lynnette | 166 comments I am about 1/4 thru. Funny, informative. Wish I was Mary. Keep reading!

Definitely gonna start this today!

Lynnette | 166 comments I am finished. Certainly not what I expected. Amazing, nonetheless. Funny & informative. Not sure I needed to know everything included. Eeuw! ( no spoiler here must read for yourself) Now I understand so much more about the expense & preparation it takes to prepare for a space launch.

I am so glad to have read it. Wouldn't have done if not for this group. Thank You.

Mary Roach has a definite style & an amazing gift of getting people to talk & getting herself into places we only dream about. That is 1 tenacious woman! Bravo!

The down side to me is the lack of more current references. Read through the bibliography & saw few references from 2000 forward. I have many questions about that.

A good read, nonetheless.

Karolyn | 112 comments I finally got this, it was wait listed at the library. It will probably be August before I finish... But I'm planning to get it read.
