Ok I will give it a go this month...1. Leah is a stay-at-home mom (one of THE most challenged jobs - just saying). Read a book that features a mother as main character. (Bonus if she's the mother of a toddler age 1-3 yr)
2. Her wedding colors were green & purple. If you've been married, what were your wedding colors? If you haven't, what colors do you think you'd like to have?
3. Her dream vacation destination is England. Read a book set in England.
4. Leah met one of her best friends through Goodreads. The friend lives in Europe but will be coming to the USA later this year to visit Leah. Have you met any good friends through Goodreads (or Shelfari)? Have you met in person?
5. She is a creative cook. Read a book featuring a chef or recipes.
I've yet to complete a challenge but once again I will try it.Our June M.o.M. (Member of the Month) was Leah. So this challenge is based on the information she shared about herself.

A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler. No toddlers for this mother. She's in her 70's.
2. Her wedding colors were green & purple. If you've been married, what were your wedding colors? If you haven't, what colors do you think you'd like to have?
I haven't married but I'd pick red because I like it.
3. Her dream vacation destination is England. Read a book set in England--Interlude with a Baron by Cerise DeLand.
4. Leah met one of her best friends through Goodreads. The friend lives in Europe but will be coming to the USA later this year to visit Leah. Have you met any good friends through Goodreads (or Shelfari)? Have you met in person?
Not through Goodreads but I have met a good friend (several) through book reviewing. I have met them. We get together as a book conference once a year.
5. She is a creative cook. Read a book featuring a chef or recipes.

✔ 2. Her wedding colors were green & purple. If you've been married, what were your wedding colors? If you haven't, what colors do you think you'd like to have? - I didn't really have "colors" ... but I suppose it would be Fuschia and Carnation Pink (the colors of the flowers in my bouquet).
3. Her dream vacation destination is England. Read a book set in England.

Have you met any good friends through Goodreads (or Shelfari)? Have you met in person? - I have met some wonderful fellow-readers on line! And I've met a few of them in person, as well. Every time I go back home to Texas, I get together with two ladies I met through Shelfari - I've even attended their book club meetings!

I am married but got married by the Justice of the Peace...So..no real wedding colors but if I had had a ceremony- I think I would go with a deep maroon and white.

No, I haven't met any "good friends" but I have met some nice people here.

Re-reads are fine, as long as you actually read the entire book
Book should be finished within the time-frame of the challenge.
Any format ("dead tree," e-book, audio...) is fine.
