Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) | 5 comments What should be done, if anything, about books that are listed in the database with a supposed publication date that is years old and the book has never been written/published? Should we delete them, leave them alone even though it doesn't exist? Specifically I'm asking about The Seeker and The Soul. It's irking my soul. Sorry.

It depends. Has the author made a definite and public statement retracting her plan to write those books?

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) | 5 comments She apparently said back in 2011 that she was planning a sequel in 2012 and a third in 2013 but she hasn't made a comment since that time that I can find. She has done this before with another book as well, said it was coming but then saying years later that she wasn't going to do it. She's kind of wishy washy. And she probably made enough money of the terribly written twilight series that she doesn't need to ever write another book again, thank the sweet baby Jesus. (sorry, did I say that part out loud?)

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) | 5 comments From Wikipedia... Meyer has said that she is working on additional books in The Host series and that she intends to write a trilogy. She said in an interview that, if published, the first sequel would be entitled The Seeker and the second The Soul.[10] In November 2009, she said, "I'd like to eventually have The Host be part of a trilogy."[11] In a Q&A session in Kansas City, Meyer said that she has outlines for the sequels and has done some writing on them, but she has some qualms since The Host universe is a "dangerous place" where characters might die, and she is not sure if she wants to kill them off.[8]

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) | 5 comments The most updated information that I can find is from 2013 saying she is working on an outline. But I can't access her personal site from work due to firewalls and I want to double check there.

Emma | 1 comments A quick look at Meyer's website provided no information regarding The Seeker or The Soul. As a huge fan of The Host who has patiently awaited the promised books, I honestly don't expect Meyer to ever write a sequel. Her website has nothing about them in the section for The Host or other projects, so I'd remove them.
