Dave about 35-40% into the book, really enjoying.

Nice and fast paced

Usually I wait till I finish, and very careful with questions to the very end, not to give too much away.

Sure a few members are reading away.

3.5 to 4 Review, which I have posted.

First question.

How do you think of all the names for Jim's team?

message 9: by Dave (new)

Dave Edlund (dedlund) | 44 comments Thanks for the question Sean. Character names come from all sources--an acquaintance, a friend, past school mate, news reports. Sometimes I look for common names, other times something unusual. As for their call signs when on a mission, the answer is a bit different. In this case I need a "name" that is short, and not dumb or offensive or over used.

Liked Iceberg, Homer as names

Dave Edlund (dedlund) | 44 comments Iceberg--the guy has a head of blond hair, so it seemed natural. As a side note, this character is named after a buddy from high school. Homer--that's a nickname another buddy and I used for each other; again stretching back to young-adult days.
