Rules of Create a Chariot
Follows General Rules of Wobble Event
▲ This is a COVER EVENT, all items MUST be on depicted on cover of Edition Read
▲ On the COVER of Edition Read, all items MUST be shown in full
Clarifications:
1 (Horses) : must show full body. If a small part is hidden that is acceptable, but you can not have a cover with just a head on it and the rest going off cover.
2 (Assemble) : must be full tools/ropes/wheels, small missing section is ok, for example tools in a tool belt is accepted or a wheel partially in grass. May be real item and/or picture of item.
3 (Driver) : Full person visible, head to foot. If a small part is hidden that is acceptable, but you can not have a cover with just torso on it. Cover Color MUST be verified using link given. NO exceptions! DO NOT ask anywhere if color is "enough". MUST use link!
4 (Race) : Plains must be all of cover, clear what it is. Captain has last say. If it is questionable than the answer is NO. Number must be on cover either in title or as part of the cover art and clear to see. Title must be 12 letters/numbers, that does not include spaces or punctuation. Letters or numbers only.
(Supplemental) : Decorations must be clear to see / tell what they are. Must post what it is that is being "used" to decorate.
▲ All 17 books must be completed to consider Event 5: Create a Chariot √ COMPLETE
▲ Teams may begin to work on Event 5: Create a Chariot anytime after Heat 1 of Event 1: Title Relay is √ COMPLETE
▲ ALL Members MUST read at least 1 book in Create a Chariot
Book 3 of required 3 books for Olympic 3 week event
▲ Create a Chariot is 17 books, highest team member amount, so any team member may take the additional book(s) (if less team members than 17) but EVERY member must complete at least 1 book in Create a Chariot
▲ Members who take on additional books must read from a different task
Member cannot read all 4 creatures or 2 team colors but CAN read 1 team color and 1 knife.
▲ Colors on cover must be verified using link provided
▲ Books do NOT need to be read in order. Will receive points for all parts completed, even if it's not everything. Supplemental Book points will only count if main chariot (17 books) is completed.
▲ There are no Bonus Rounds of this event.

Guide to using TinyEye Labs Color Extract
By Image URL:
1: Go to Edition Read Book page on GoodReads
2: Right-click on cover and choose "Copy Image Location"
3: Go to TinyEye Labs
4: Paste URL into right hand box and click "Extract Colors"
5: In "Color Palette" add up all percentages of "base color" (color in parentheses) under specific color. Total percentages MUST be greater than 60%.
6: IF full cover does not show up (if most is white and it just shows certain colors) then you must ---> Go to bottom of page and UNCHECK "Exclude background color from extracted colors"
By Image:

Event 5: Create a Chariot
(thanks to Amanda who had the idea for the event)
This is a COVER Event. Using the instructions below, teams must work together to Create their Chariot. This is no ordinary chariot, but one pulled by any manner of creatures. Use your imaginations and create a beautiful, wild, crazy chariot!
To mark Create a Chariot as √ COMPLETE:
--- Team must finish all 17 books per rules to mark this event √ COMPLETE
To move on to NEXT Olympic Event:
--- Once Event 2 has begun, all Events are open to work on!
1: Gather your horses
↪ Read FOUR books with an Animal(s)/Creature(s) on cover
Any animal that could pull a human is allowed, even mythological.
Examples: dragons, dogs, lions, bears, unicorns.....
2: Assemble your Chariot
↪ Read TWO book with a Tool(s) on the cover (hammer, saw, ect...)
↪ Read ONE book with Rope on the cover
↪ Read TWO books with a Wheel(s) on the cover
3: Prepare your Driver
↪ Read ONE book with a person (full body head to foot) on cover
↪ Read ONE book with a Knife or Dagger on cover
↪ Read TWO books for Team Colors (may be same color)
Must choose from Olympic Rings colors (Blue, Black, Red, Yellow or Green).
Color must be at least 60% of cover, using Color Extract at TinyLabs
4: Race your Chariot in the Hippodrome
↪ Read ONE book with a large open landscape (plains) on cover
↪ Read ONE book with the number 12 on the cover (can be spelled out, in title counts)
↪ Read TWO books with a title that is exactly 12 letters/numbers
SUPPLEMENTAL BOOKS: Decorate your Chariot
↪ Continuing to use Book Covers, decorate your Chariot, to make it more unique. May be decorated with any items on the covers of (up to) TEN books.
Examples: Gems, Jewelry, banners, flags, flowers, lights, ect...... use your imagination!
Create a Chariot Points
1: 10 points (per creature book)
2: 5 points (per assemble book)
3: 5 points (per driver book)
4: 10 points (per racing book)
25 points on completion
Supplemental Books: 15 points (per decorations book)
Additional 50 bonus points if ALL books, plus ALL 10 supplemental books are completed
