Buddy Read Invite (Retired)

Yes sure. :) towards the end of October would be best if that's OK.
Any time in November for City of Brass.

How about:
20th Oct Senlin Ascends
1st Nov The City of Brass
And should I request those as well?
20th Nov Arm of the Sphinx
20th December The Hod King
With all the reviews and the overall ratings, I'm quite positive that I'll like them and would like to continue ☺️

I'm going to read [book:Mortal Engines next week for a crazy challenge of mine, so a BR would be lovely :)
I also have Hope and Red on my TBR but I won't be able to get to it before September.

That's great, do you plan to read all 4 of them then?
We could reuse this old thread:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
or I can create a new one at the Unofficial Buddy Read Club Folder Thingy.
September is great for Hope and Red, do you have a certain start date in mind?

Hum I would like to finish The Sword of Kaigen before getting to Hope and Red, so perhaps around the 15th ?

Yes that sounds good to request.
I don't own the rest of the series yet so I'll only buy them/continue if I like Senlin Ascends.

The old thread works for me :)

I have [book:Hope and Red hanging around, waiting to be read so I'd love to join you for that one. Any time works for me.

Frankenstein, Dracula or The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (it is spooky month after all)
Or maybe The Forgotten Beasts of Eld?

I’ll read Frankenstein with you! Have been meaning to for the longest time!

Yay, great to hear and also me too! Do you have any preferences for a starting date? I'd perhaps like it if we could read it around the middle of the month due to some real-life plans, but I can probably work it in whenever :D

I’ve been wanting to read those classics for awhile

That’s perfect - yes please!

Sounds great, Ahdam, just send me a message if you find you have the time! :D

The Bear and the Nightingale
Anno Dracula

Anyone interested in reading one of these with me? :) The earliest that works for me is late September to mid October.

I would also be in for Anno Dracula if in early October was good for you guys.

I had read halfway through the book a few years ago, and it was a blast. But halfway through, I stopped due to a reason that sounds petty now. However, I've gotten over it and with some books under my belt, I want to continue with this series because it's pretty damn good from what I read.
Also, not to say this was a huge reason, but I recently found out that the author is South Asian, and I do want to support these writers, especially in the fantasy genre.
So you can be sure that my review will be unbias.
:) :) :) :)

Anno Dracula - October 10 (Navi, Shaitarn, Sarah)
The Bear and the Nightingale - October 21 (Navi, Charlie) *so jealous about your upcoming Cuba trip, Charlie!! :D

Sounds good to me!

I would love to join you in a BR for The Bear and the Nightingale Charlie! It's been on my list for a while now ^~^ Just let me know if you need to switch things around with your trip :D

Oh! Count me in for this one Ahdam. I've heard nothing but good things for this one so I would love to join you in on this one. Sounds like you really enjoyed what you have read so far too ^~^

Sweet, I'll give it some time before I ask for the thread but I have to say, this book is surprisingly dark for a YA novel and I guarantee you will hate a specific character

Oh goodness...I can't wait XD

I'll join for book 3, that's where I got up to when me, Charlie and Laura did a buddy read last year. :)

Early October:
Un Lun Dun
Dune
Mid October:
A Taste of Honey
The Mirror Empire

I'm up for Un Lun Dun :)

So, I've recently requested a BR for Gardens of the Moon, by Steven Erikson. I've already found someone to read it (if you're reading this, Vernon, hi :D), but if someone else wants to join, please do! I'd love to hear fro anyone who's interested.
In the near future, I'd love to request a BR for Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan, but one at a time, for now.
Hope to read you soon!
P.S.: due to my studies, my reading pace is kind of slow, but I do my best, haha.

I was part of the January BR but really lost track midway so I might join you to finally finish it !

I don't have the faith and the strenght to re-start it to be honest xD (and it's not very nice of me but I'm glad I'm not the only one to not get to the end and also that you will be here with me on the same boat xD)

Sure, Oct 1st ok."

Yeah I've been thinking if restarting the Malazan BR might not be a good idea? It seems I'm the only person still reading the series and I'm feeling lonely ;-(
Also, I believe there's been some talk among the 2018 BR-group to start a reread in 2020?

Haha, Team Always Behind strikes again ❤️
Should there be a 2020 BR, I'm sure they will meet Elinor and me sometime on their way

Maybe I’ll get lucky this time

I'm the same with audio, but these are ebooks for me unfortunately. I'm reallllly booked up for August and September, but should be able to fit them in October if that's OK. November would be even better.
