I'm the same with audio, but these are ebooks for me unfortunately. I'm reallllly booked up for August and September, but should be able to fit them in October if that's OK. November would be even better.

message 4452: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5066 comments Would Senlin Ascends in October work for you? And if we like it the sequel and City of Brass in November?

message 4453: by Narilka (new)

Narilka | 5692 comments I'd be up for Senlin Ascends in October. It's been sitting on my Kindle for ages :)

Yes sure. :) towards the end of October would be best if that's OK.

Any time in November for City of Brass.

message 4455: by Mel (new)

Mel | 2360 comments I have City of Brass waiting on my shelves, so I'll join you as well. Senlin Ascends is on my to-read list as well, so if there is a BR I'll go ahead and get it. It's only 2.99 on US Amazon.

message 4456: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5066 comments Great to have you Narilka and Melissa :)

How about:

20th Oct Senlin Ascends
1st Nov The City of Brass

And should I request those as well?
20th Nov Arm of the Sphinx
20th December The Hod King

With all the reviews and the overall ratings, I'm quite positive that I'll like them and would like to continue ☺️

I'm going to read [book:Mortal Engines
next week for a crazy challenge of mine, so a BR would be lovely :)
I also have Hope and Red on my TBR but I won't be able to get to it before September.

That's great, do you plan to read all 4 of them then?

We could reuse this old thread:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

or I can create a new one at the Unofficial Buddy Read Club Folder Thingy.

September is great for Hope and Red, do you have a certain start date in mind?

message 4459: by Elinor (new)

Elinor | 1548 comments I only own the first one so I was only planning for book 1 next week... but if I'm really into it I could read more sooner :)

Hum I would like to finish The Sword of Kaigen before getting to Hope and Red, so perhaps around the 15th ?

Yes that sounds good to request.

I don't own the rest of the series yet so I'll only buy them/continue if I like Senlin Ascends.

Frankenstein, Dracula or The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (it is spooky month after all)
Or maybe The Forgotten Beasts of Eld?

Yay, great to hear and also me too! Do you have any preferences for a starting date? I'd perhaps like it if we could read it around the middle of the month due to some real-life plans, but I can probably work it in whenever :D

The Bear and the Nightingale
Anno Dracula

The Traitor Baru Cormorant (The Masquerade, #1) by Seth Dickinson The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden Anno Dracula (Anno Dracula, #1) by Kim Newman

Anyone interested in reading one of these with me? :) The earliest that works for me is late September to mid October.

message 4478: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments I'd like to do The Bear and the Nightingale but it would have to be mid October for me I'm afraid since I'm going to be in Cuba for two weeks at the start of October with very little/ if any internet access.

message 4479: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments If I could intrude, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading An Ember in the Ashes series starting with book one mid-September

I had read halfway through the book a few years ago, and it was a blast. But halfway through, I stopped due to a reason that sounds petty now. However, I've gotten over it and with some books under my belt, I want to continue with this series because it's pretty damn good from what I read.

Also, not to say this was a huge reason, but I recently found out that the author is South Asian, and I do want to support these writers, especially in the fantasy genre.

So you can be sure that my review will be unbias.

:) :) :) :)

Sweet, I'll give it some time before I ask for the thread but I have to say, this book is surprisingly dark for a YA novel and I guarantee you will hate a specific character

Mariano (marian-from-the-edgedancers) | 3 comments Hi all!

So, I've recently requested a BR for Gardens of the Moon, by Steven Erikson. I've already found someone to read it (if you're reading this, Vernon, hi :D), but if someone else wants to join, please do! I'd love to hear fro anyone who's interested.

In the near future, I'd love to request a BR for Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan, but one at a time, for now.

Hope to read you soon!

P.S.: due to my studies, my reading pace is kind of slow, but I do my best, haha.

I don't have the faith and the strenght to re-start it to be honest xD (and it's not very nice of me but I'm glad I'm not the only one to not get to the end and also that you will be here with me on the same boat xD)

Yeah I've been thinking if restarting the Malazan BR might not be a good idea? It seems I'm the only person still reading the series and I'm feeling lonely ;-(
Also, I believe there's been some talk among the 2018 BR-group to start a reread in 2020?
