Narilka | 5692 comments @Iain - Paradox Bound - Ok I have everything I signed up for added to my tracker. Second week of Jan needs a BR. How about Jan 8th?

I replied about Sightwitch on the Bloodwitch thread.

So, is it confirmed for April we are starting The Blade Itself? Can we do it on the 5th? Tiamat's Wrath is out late March so I need time to focus on that. Then we can have Before they are hanged in May 5th and so on.

Oh I didn't know there's a sequel planned, I'm interested, but I guess I should reread the other books first, as I read them a long time ago 😅

I'd be interested in buddy reading the last one, if you really decide to do a reread 😋. I've only read the first 3 so far.

I'm not going to reread the other ones, i still remember most of what happened.

Shusterman, both suggested reads
A Little Hatred
Tiguana
And maybe more! :)

I read the first one last summer, and there never seemed to be any BRs for the 2nd thru 5th books, and I forgot, so I still need to read those, but I'm pretty full until at least April/May, at this point...

I don't mind waiting until later in the year :) I think they'd make a great summer holiday read, so if you're free around July/August, we could maybe do the series then?

Sounds good... whatever day of the month works for you is fine... the back half of my year is relatively open right now, except for the 8th to the 20th

Which month is that? xD

We could start around the beginning of July (the 1st?) and then try to have the series done by end September, that gives around two weeks per book – but I'm also fine with less time per book if that works better

ME!!!... it was one of the few 2019 New Releases that nobody responded to, last week, when I was setting up New Release BRs... I was hoping to set it up Late May, Early June... 1 week after release, at the earliest...

You guys didn't know it was coming?... I found out about it, and shared the news, as soon as we finished out Buddy Read back in February...

I can understand the sentiment, tho...

message 3689: by Barry (new)

Barry (boprawira) | 1212 comments I remember some mentions of it. Didn’t know if there definitely would be a sequel. First found out about the sequel last month actually. I was happy the book was a stand alone though. It’s perfect as a stand alone.

message 3690: by Silvana (last edited Dec 04, 2018 05:02AM) (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1970 comments I felt a bit tricked, honestly, since it was first marketed as stand-alone. I choose stand-alone novels because they're stand-alones. Although Children of Time can stand on its own and no-one forcing me to read the sequel, knowing there's another book (much later) only ruined my mood to read the rest.

Children of Time really left the option open for a sequel, given the epilogue... it sounds like it will be a very different book...

I have no doubt :)

message 3695: by Timelord Iain, Tech Support (new)

I'd be interested in reading at least the first couple, but I'm already booked till at least April... I hear the quality drops over time, so I don't want to commit to the whole thing...

message 3696: by Kathrine (last edited Dec 06, 2018 06:30AM) (new)

Kathrine | 1249 comments @Patrick I'm in for at least Dune, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune (those are the ones I have on my shelf so far) and possibly the rest of the novels Frank wrote

Like Iain, it'd fit me better later in the year – April's fine with me
