Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Right ..... writing novels! A beer to anyone, who guessed!

Two more movies and Quentin may join our ranks and seek fun and profit through writing.
Will there be 'Pulp Fiction' - a book? Some different hard-core action?
Will Quentin go indie? Or maybe he'll write romance and children books?
As it's around Saturday in most of the world and this is a fun section, you don't have to be entirely serious. Are you ready to compete with Quentin once he enters the game?

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments It will be an adult coloring book, for sure ha ha!

J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments The indie trend of serialization already plays into his feeling of creating one work and cutting it in two as an excuse to charge fans twice as much...I'm looking at you Kill Bill...

I almost forgot he did the same with his Grindhouse movie when it came time to release it on DVD...

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments As if writers' niche weren't sufficiently crowded, Tarantino expressed a desire to write books after a couple more movies.
How well is he gonna fare in lit in your opinion? Could he maintain the same style or a written action might require a different approach?

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8071 comments I'll be interested to see what he can do with words that can approach the visuals in his movies: the dance scene in Pulp Fiction with Travolta and Uma; the fight scenes in Kill Bill, Django shooting Ms. Lara. All those pictures had to be in his head. Putting scenes like those into words with the same effect - we'll see.

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Hope Quentin is back with another movie, before venturing into indie writing. I know he's somewhere here. Gotta tell him, if I bump into the dude :)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8071 comments If you do, I want to hear that story.

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Sure. Now that the outdoor life seems to be returning, there is a certain probability

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Quentin did enter the highly competitive literary market after all, reverse engineering movie into a book: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8071 comments Cool movie, but not as good as Pulp Fiction.

message 12: by Nik (new)

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Yeah, Pulp is a cult, yet to be surpassed :)

message 13: by Philip (new)

Philip (phenweb) Saw an interview about his book - I liked the movie but agree Pulp is better.

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments I like this tandem and hope they do it: https://variety.com/2024/film/news/br...

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8071 comments Should be good. I had forgotten that he directed Jackie Brown, one I enjoyed. I wonder why he's giving up directing after this one. Seems like directing would be in your blood, similar to writing. What's he going to do with his time if he gives up directing, I wonder. Drugs, sex, rock and roll? What do you do with that creative energy when you retire?

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Once you’ve been there and done it all many times, one can get burnt out. I hear he’s a good boy and dad as a new Israeli. Quentin said he’d become a writer ✍️ . Good luck!

message 17: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8071 comments He's moved to Israel? Is he Jewish? He's already proved he's a good writer.

message 18: by Nik (new)

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments He’s not Jewish, but he married one and moved to Israel a few years ago.
