Marco's umbrella sounds awesome--I wish I had one! It's so interesting to me how he and Celia don't hate each other--it seems like they would have been negatively influenced towards each other all their lives.
I thought the ice garden sounded absolutely lovely--I would love to go in there. Or to the circus in general. : p
I feel bad for Isabella--I don't think Marco actually likes her that much.
The Revelers (?) intrigue me--I mean it's so much harder to be a groupie of a group on a magical train than a traditional band that just has a bus. The number of cities the circus travels to is so impressive!
I was wondering about Tara too. Leading up to that point, she was very depressed it seems. However she was questioning everything, so Alexander could have had some influence. Plus, it was revealed near the end of Part 2 that Marco was using the cauldron to protect the people inside the fence. Once Tara was outside the fence, she didn't have that protection.
I was surprised that Marco and Celia were so open and honest with each other, but I guess that is the direction that the author wanted to take the story. I'm guessing that if they hated each other, then the circus would have more of a sinister, dark feel about it and wouldn't be as enjoyable to the people attending.
Isobel will probably get the short end of the stick in this situation. Marco does seem to be using her a bit and probably stringing her along in order to get information.
I love that Thiessen created such a Fandom for the circus (spelled réveurs for those with audio books). It kind of reminds me of hard core Disney fans or something.
The circus venue locations are quite impressive too. I guess if you have magic to work with, then there are few limitations to where you can go.

I think that Tara's muddled mind from Alexander's conversation (even typing his name feels wrong to me because I know this is not his given name) coupled with her constant, seemingly beginning to be crippling, depression combined to cause her to not pay enough attention as she is distracted from trying to figure out what was going on with Mr. A--H-- arguing with Marco.
I'm loving the open, honest friendship(ish) between Celia and Marco...though Isobelle has always bugged me anyway so I'm not actually caring much. And I adore the new friendships and romances beginning to blossom at this point.
The reveurs are absolutely fabulous and the idea of circus 'folk' blending on breaks is beautiful to me...as are all the new tents and...all of it. I just love all of it.

I'm sorry. It is the one where people are introducing themselves. I should have made a separate thread for introductions. I'll know better next time. I'm learning as I go along. Just make your Part one comments in the same thread that you first commented in.

It's ok, no worries!! I should have looked before I commented. :)

WHAT IS IT WITH THE ROMANCE??? Gah!!!
Now that I have it out of my system, let's talk.
I absolutely love the Reveurs (too lazy to fetch an accent for the "e") since it means dreamers and the whole circus sort of play with that theme too. They are like refined groupies! Hahaha!
Poppet, her brother and Bailey are now my favorite characters. I find myself looking forward to their chapters.
Now that we begin to see the repercussions of Marco's link to the circus, I wonder who is going to die next now that Tara is gone.
Sukiko is suspicious but I hope it stays that way (suspicions only, no looking for answers), I will be heart broken if she dies. I like her.
Marco managed to piss off mister A-H and I can't help but wonder what's going to come out of that.
I'm a little into part 3 (didn't feel like stop listening until I could comment on here) so I'm going to stop my rant here so as to not spoil it for others.
I started seeing where things were going but now I'm at a loss again. *sigh*

Bailey, Poppet, and Widget are my favorite characters from the book for sure!
Sukiko is definitely s suspicious character.
I literally just rubbed my hands together in anticipation for your thoughts on section 3.
I agree with you guys. Bailey, Poppet, and Widget are the best characters. They are just so likable.
