SOLVED. Scene from a Sidney Sheldon Book [s]

A female cat burglar has tripped the alarm in a house she's broken into and she knows the cops will be arriving soon. So she puts on lingerie she finds in the house and covers her face in cold cream and when the cops show up she answers the door like that and acts like she lives there and accidentally set it off. They believe her and leave. I'm pretty sure this is from a Sidney Sheldon book, I just don't know which one.

Right, so I'm thinking this is it; I just wanted to know if this scene is indeed from this book.
