"I'm in the room on the left down the hall. Ill turn the rest of the house down to be tolerable for both of us. " he said turning to leave.

Evangeline put the necklace back on the rack. "Yeah. Not sure what's happening" she said.

"Thank you." Lilia whispered softly as she closed her eyes slowly. It wasn't even time to go to sleep, but she was just so exhausted from her body adjusting.

"Yeah, just yesterday they said winter weather wasn't supposed to hit for awhile." He shurgged his shoulders.

He nodded and let her be. He was much too content to stay in his warm room. The cold had done a number on him.

"Well. Whoever it is that said that is not doing their job very well." She said looking up at him.

Lilia fell in deep sleep. In her dream she was sinking deep into the water. She jolted awake and started to panic causing the house started to freeze. "Please please help." She was confused on where she was.

"True" Max replied.

Cal jolted up from his spot on his bed his head pounding. He came over to Lilia's room. "Are you okay?" He asked stepping in the doorway.

"So have you picked a jacket yet?" She asked.

Lilia looked up at him then realizing where she was. "Yeah" she whispered glaring at him. Tears ran down her face it started to snow outside



The girl can see me when invisible Cal she's the one who killed Winter. Max was a little sad about it. "Yeah, i have"

Cal frowned. "No your not," he said softly. 'Alright max. Thanks. Ill come up with a plan'

Evangeline raided her eyebrow about the way he said it. "Do you not like it?"

Lilia looked at him. "You're right I'm not fine, my whole life was turned upside down today. When I close my eyes I see myself sinking down in the depths of the water hearing my parents boat off to died." She snapped. "You expect me to be okay with it. I'm not okay with this. "

Max looked at her. "I love the coat, I just got word that I'm going to be leaving soon. I found what my boss is looking for." He wasn't lying about it.

"No. I don't expect you to be okay." He said simply.

"Aww" she said. She was somewhat upset even thigh and just met him.

"It seems like you do." She whispered softly looking down. Lilia blinked some, "I feel it rushing through me." she whispered. "Like it has to come out, I'm not sure if its because of winter season."

"Yeah, its okay though, with my job we can't get close to people. I'm always moving." Max said.

"It'll always be there. You learn to control them," he said after a minute.

She frowned. "Sometimes I feel the same way. Everything that's always going on. No time for anything else."

Lilia looked at him and frowned. "Am I suppose to make it snow?" she whispered. "I don't want this Cal."

"I have to go." He saw a clerk coming her way.

"Excuse me, Miss, can I help you with something?" The clerked asked.

"You are. You control winter. And I'm sorry but you don't really have a choice" he said quietly.

Evangeline watched him confused until the clerk said something. "Uh no thank you,"

"No because you didn't give me one." Lilia wanted to snap at him, but kept it in. The weather outside was describing how she was feeling though.

"Okay, I was just curious because you were talking to yourself." The clerk said, "Its none of business though."

Cal frowned. "If I hadn't you would have died anyway. And so would the rest of the world."

Fear lanced through her. "Oh I was just deciding if I should buy something. Excuse me"

Lilia shook her head. "I wouldn't have died, I could have survived." She darted up. "You're the one who made the ice melt. You're the reason I fell through. When you made the warmth go away the ice quickly froze over trapping me under there. You're a murder, I died because of you." She accused. "You keep saying I'm going to save the world, but you haven't told me a single thing."

"Yes, miss?" The clerked asked tilting his head. "Is something wrong? Am I being too nosy?"

He straightened. "You would not have survived. Before you died the other winter was brutally murdered in front of me. When one season dies the entire world goes out of wack. It would be the apocalypse!"

"No no. I'm okay. I just feel lightheaded. I'm going to go home" she assured.

Lilia looked down. She pushed a blast of cold air towards him without realizing it. "You want winter so much. Here it is." With a flick of her hand it started to blizzard outside. "Happy now?"

I think I might be exposed, I'm going in hiding. Just make sure she doesn't get to the new winter Max thought as he started flying off to one his safe houses.

Cal flew back into the wall and frost spread across his chest. He yelped in pain and concentrated using warm air to melt it. "Please calm down," 'ill do my best'

Evangene left the store and looked around for Max.

"You wanted Winter, you have winter" Then heard him yelped in pain and backed away the blast. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that." Frost begin to grow on the walls of her room. "I'm sorry, I can't do this. I can't control it."

Max made himself visible again and sat in his house. Praying that Evangeline didn't come to find him.

He came over and gently put his hands on her shoulders. "Yes you can. But you have to calm down. "


Evangeline spotted him when he flew away and raced after him. She was lightning on her feet. She saw him enter the house and she knocked on the door.

Lilia looked up at him. "I am calm." She insisted to him. "Do you remember know how it feels at first? "



Cal she followed me. I'm going to lose my job this time. Max shook his head he really did it this time. He looked at the winter coat in his hand. Make her angry make her cause it to get so cold that this girl won't be able to survive.

'What? Max! If she killed winter it's going to take more than a blizzard to stop her. You got an A in hypnotism right?' He looked at Lilia. "Feels like a hurricane ripping you apart."

Lilia nodded her head. "Exactly, how am I suppose to control it every emotion I have there's something that wants to come out. I feel a rush of power and the worse part is that there's split seconds that i like it"




Yes, but you do realize that might not work on her. Max looked down he had to think of something. He swiftly move to his room and dialed the number to the pizza place ordering a pizza if the pizza guy saw him that would convince Evangeline that she was crazy.

'Try something. This new winter is crazy' cal rolled his eyes. "It doesn't stop. You just learn to keep your power under control,"

Evangeline saw the pizza guy pull up and was confused.

Lilia heard what Cal had said through his mind and looked down. "Please leave my room and not bother me" She stopped the snow and cold weather. "I'm not some object and I have feelings and I will not tolerate your cold heartless persona. Maybe you should have been the new winter. Your personality sure does fit."

Max opened the door. "Evangeline hi I didn't realize you were here. I ordered a small pizza. If i would have knew you were here i would have ordered a bigger size"

Hurt flashed through his eye. "Sorry I guess I should have warned you about the chip on my shoulder." He walked away fighting the urge to blast her room with heat.

Evangeline knew what he was up to. She might as well act like he wanted too. "Wait what I need to talk to you,"

Lilia didn't mean to be harsh, when he said she was crazy that really hurt her feelings. Tears ran down her face as she wiped.

"Is something wrong?" He asked handing the pizza man the change and smiled. "Keep the change"

He sat in his room and basked in the warmth.

"Yeah something is wrong." She stared at the pizza it walking away. "Your messing with my mind"

Lilia looked down and climbed back into bed and cried softly. She wiped her tears and thought maybe she should try to find out what's bothering Cal.


Max raised his eyebrows. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked opening the pizza box and taking a slice. "Want one?" Holding up his slice as he took a bite.

Cal rested his head against the headboard of his bed thinking.

"No. I want to talk to you. Can I come in?"

Lilia walked to Cals room and knocked on the door. "Cal look I'm sorry I shouldn't have been that harsh, but you called me crazy and that really hurt my feelings because you said as if you didn't care that I was in the room"

"Okay, sure come on in" He sat the pizza down near his winter coat. "So what do you need?"

"I said that because I forgot you could hear us. When you are the only one listening for months it becomes habit. " he said opening the door.

She walked into his house. "Why did the clerk not see you?"

"It doesn't matter, you shouldn't have said at all. I'm not crazy, you killed me. How am I supposed to be okay with that? For a moment don't try jusfiy the means." Lilia said feeling the warmth hit her face.

"Um the Clerk obviously saw me because I got my coat" He raised his eyebrows. "Are you feeling okay? Why wouldn't he see me? Unless if I'm the invisible man, then no" Max looked at her concerned

"I'm sorry alright?" He said leaning against the doorway. He was still tired from being out in the cold.

She rolled her eyes. "No. The clerk didn't see you. Then you bolted and FLEW away"

Lilia looked down. "Sorry isn't good enough." She whispered quietly. Being near the warm air was making her woozy. She wasn't sure how Cal went into the cold air and stayed warm



Max laughed a little bit. "You're funny, I can't fly and I can't turn invisible." He shook his head. "I'm truly concerned about your mental state"

Seeing her distress, Cal stepped out into the cooler hall and closed the door behind him. "Yet sorry cut it for me five seconds ago?"

Evangeline almost fell for it. "I'm fine."

Lilia looked at Cal. "This is what I hear, Sorry I killed you, but I'm not too sorry because I needed you to bring winter to the world." She shook her head. "I'm done trying to make you see where I'm coming from."



"You sure? I can drive you somewhere?" Max said looking at her.

"Hey I am actually sorry. I do rember this myself,"

"What take me to the metal hospital no thank you!" She said annoyed.

Lilia looked up at him and smiled a little. "How do I know if its suppose to snow?" She asked.

"No I meant to your place." Max said.

"You feel it. Inside I'm not sure. It's just a poking feeling in a direction." He explained.

She sighed. "Can you just listen to me for a minute? Please?"

Lilia nodded her head. "Okay," She yawned some. "I think I'm going to sleep." Her body collapsed from exhaustion. She cursed at herself mentally because Cal wad right she shouldn't have gotten up too soon.

Max looked at her."Okay I'm listening."

Cal nodded. "Have fun with that." He said opening the door to his room and heading inside.

"I saw you fly away. And you can apparently turn invisible since the clerk didn't see you. What are you?" She asked.

Lilia drifted into a deep sleep awakening to an urgent feeling.


"You didn't see me fly and I can't turn invisible" Max said shaking his head. "Do you hear what you are saying?" He said looking at her. "That's just a bunch of crazy talk.

Cal was drawing on the frosted glass of his window.

She glared at him and crossed her arms. "Your just like everybody else. They don't believe me when I see things either." She turned away.

Lilia looked out her window seeing the frost. It started to snow.


"You're accuse me of doing things that are impossible." Max said. "Its getting late maybe you should leave"

Cal watched and glanced to his door.

"If you can do those things… why can't you help me understand them? I've him through seeing things my whole life. No one would ever Believe me." She sighed. "I guess ill go then…"

Lilia felt a lot better. She walked to the bathroom and ran some hot water and splashed it on her face and frowned.


"Look, if I could do those things I would help you, but I can't," Max said beginning to think that maybe she didn't know that she killed winter or maybe this was just an act.

Cal walked out of the room and looked over at her. "What?"

She turned back to him. "But you can. I know you can. Please!" She begged.
