So... Here she was, being dragged by the ankles to wherever these monsters wanted. She certainly was freaked out, but talking hadn't seemed to do much good.

Jenny ran with him, footsteps clashing and echoing behind them. "What if they catch us again?" she asked, panting. She was already getting a little tired, and had no clue where this monster was taking her. She didn't even know if he was a killer or something. At least it was better than being in the cell. Now, she had a navigator.

"Souls? Collections? Man, this sounds like some pretty messed up stuff!" she wheezed, not exactly an Olympic runner. Adrenaline and fear kept her moving forwards. The footsteps scattered behind them as they were having trouble tracking the two escapees.

His magic really- blasted her. Her feet dragged and she kicked at the ground, but really, the skeleton was getting all of them free and out. She screamed, but the sound was lost, dragging behind them in the air. Jenny's vision blurred greatly.

Jenny lost consciousness for a moment; they'd gone so fast. She yelped, gripping her arm tightly. Everything was dark... no, just dim. A dark blue. She sat up, thinking she must have at least bruised her bones. Rubbing at an eye, Jen looked over and and sucked in a breath. "Skeleton! Are you okay?!"

"I dunno?" she asked, "Because you went the speed of light and we crashed somewhere?" she rubbed the back of her head. "Seems like the sort of thing that would make something not okay at all." She looked around. "Oh, a bench." Now, if only they had dinner.

"Maybe because I'm not a sadistic pig? They were going to crack your skull open, skelly, and I'm not sure if I want to see if you've got brains or not." She seemed to shrug off the question. "To be honest... I had no clue where to go, and it seemed like I could do something."

Jenny sighed and backed up. "So, what? Are you gonna kill me?" she asked, almost in challenge. "Well, if it's kill or be killed on the surface, it's a lot more subtle, and loads of people live long lives without doing either." She crossed her arms and reclined on the bench.

"Except now," she explained, "You're free." She sighed. "So, someone murdered the good and noble king?" she prompted. "Sounds like the middle ages gone wrong. You should try for a republic or something, a balance between representation and moral guides." She sneezed slightly and still kept her distance from him, feeling incredibly worn out.

"Okay, so who is this Lyilm creep, and who's this her you're talking about?" Jenny asked, stifling a yawn. "Are you sure they won't find us? Should we keep going?" she asked, blinking. She had one or two pieces to the puzzle, but it was likely an 100 piece puzzle.

She sat up, paying attention. Surface? Freedom? It sounded great! "Wait, so, if you have a passage way up to the outside world, you could take me, right? We could escape these monsters." Well... to be honest, he was a skeleton. But it wasn't exactly a monster-monster. "We just need to be stealthy."

She yawned and woke in the morning. Huh... was that... a quiche down there, between the slats and under the bench? That could definitely be something delicious for breakfast. She sat up, looking around. Where was the font-man-skeleton? Papyrus? Palatino? No... Sans. That was it.

Jenny frowned a little. "I dunno... I wonder what mine looks like. Yours does look good," she said, brushing her fingertips over the side. "I hope mine isn't... twisted, like you say." She bit her lip. "I hope it looks like yours."

She nodded. "As long as it's not being destroyed..." She considered a moment. Her soul... all the good and bad. She wasn't sure she wanted to see. Cautiously, she looked up. "I dunno..."

She tilted her head to one side. "I guess... you bared your soul, so the least I can do is the same. Go ahead."
