message 101: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She stepped into the door, staying close to him. She nervously ducked her head, eyes darted around. This place was flooded! Oh no...

message 102: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "It's pretty crammed in here," she said, ducking her head and shuffling behind Midnight. She tried to keep from making eye contact with anyone.

message 103: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She sat down at the bar when he did, nervously fidgeting with her hair. "Who is your friend?" she asked, feeling like everyone was looking at her.

message 104: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She mutely watched their conversation, feeling like she should sink below the counter and pretend to be a part of the floor. They were all monsters! And all were sort of scary. She just stared at the flame man.

message 105: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She blushed, ducking her head and pulling up the hood, even if it was sweltering, so close to Grillby. "Burger," she whispered, feeling a drop of sweat roll down her back.

message 106: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She nodded. "They came after Grillby left... Make them know that he can keep them from ever setting foot in here again... or something." she leaned into Midnight's side, hoping they'd just... go.

message 107: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "No," she said, "He's got five seconds until I do," she protested, glaring at the monster. "Back. Off."

message 108: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "And... this is why I'm a recluse, thank you very much," she snorted. "Get your hands off of my bones, or I'll rip them off of him, and off of you," she spat. She was actually pretty good at banter and bluffing.

message 109: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She stood up and immediately checked up on Midnight's shoulder, sucking in a breath. "You're all right," she whispered, glad they'd prolonged it by talking until Grillby could arrive. She couldn't stop blinking. What if they'd had to fight? They could have both died...

message 110: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She wanted to intervene... but she shouldn't. She had to be strong. She looked away and stared down at the burger's sesame seeds. "Thanks, Midnight."

message 111: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She blushed. "Um- uh... sorry," she said, staring at him in surprise for a moment. She took off her jacket, feeling way too hot. She felt like everyone was watching that movement. "I... guess? You're definitely my friend. I'm yours... right?"

message 112: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "That wasn't?" she asked, oblivious. "What is?"

message 113: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Daddy? What's wrong with that?" she asked, frowning. She had no clue what was dirty about any of those nicknames. "Oh. Want any ketchup?"

message 114: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She looked very confused, blinking. "Um... but what does it mean?" She poured some ketchup onto his burger. It sloshed over... everything. "Oh gosh... the cap was broken! You can have mine," she offered, passing her plate to him.

message 115: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Wow," she said, "That's... really good. I'm glad I didn't mess anything up for you." She bit into her burger, ecstasy coming over her face. "Grillby... these are amazing!"

message 116: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She blushed too. She was affecting Grillby too?! Maybe she should shut up a little bit. "It's okay, Midnight," she said, digging into her meal. "Thank you."

message 117: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Oh, why not? He's really sort of sweet." She was scarfing down that burger as if it was her last meal. She hadn't eaten in a while... except for that quiche.

message 118: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Jenny glanced at Midnight... would he... be able to protect her if he was sleeping? She'd just stick close to him, then. She stuck close to him and closely scooted next to him, wrapping an arm aroud his shoulders. She looked up a Grillby. Yeah. She'd trust him. Midnight did.

message 119: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Her face went pale. "Please don't tell anyone. I just want to go home. I don't know what's going on or who anyone is or their motivation. I just want to be safe."

message 120: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "He's got a brother? But... Who... Who is he?" Jenny shuddered, then looked at him. "Thank you... Again."

message 121: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Grill by knows. But he is kind," she whispered, releasing him.

message 122: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((My bro gets them all the time.))

Jenny nodded. "Mmhmm. I'm done. Why'd you fall asleep? Someone might have harmed you." She scraped her plate clean. "Thank you for the meal," she told Grillby.

message 123: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((Me neither.))

Jenny looked between the two of them uncertainly. Did Midnigt have any doubts about his friend. "We should go," she said, "We shouldn't stay in one place for long. Thank you very much for your hospitality, Grillby."

message 124: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Jenny sat stock still, thinking that maybe Grillby had betrayed them. Maybe guards were on their way to take them both down to that dreadful prison again. She jumped at Midnight's violent reaction, but hurried to follow him. However, Jen hesitated at the door. What if he just needed some time alone? And if so... Grillby was probably the safest one to be around. Cautiously, she inched back to her seat. "I don't know. I don't even know what you were shouting about with him..."

message 125: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "His brother... his friends? They were murdered?" She felt herself getting very angry, "For trying to spare him of torture?!" She was angry now, and it showed. She could feel her heart -no, her soul, beating ad throbbing in rage and pain. "Maybe it's time Lylim meets me," she said, darkly. She stormed out.

message 126: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She saw Midnight being attacked and ran. "Sans!" she shouted. She ran forwards, untying the scarf. She didn't know how to use it as a weapons, but she waved it at them like it was a whip. "Get away from him!"

message 127: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She turned, trying to wrap the scarf about his waist. "Stay back!" she insisted, trying to make sure Midnight was going to be okay. she really didn't care about her own health right now.

message 128: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She screamed, right on him. She rolled off and rolled to his side. "Let us go!" she shouted, trying to grab something, anything to use as a weapon.

message 129: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments The blade impaled Jenny's leg to the floor. She screamed, skewered to the floor. Any move she made aggravated the injury.

message 130: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Jenny got KO-ed, like how the player is when beaten by Papyrus. She was alive... just really, really out of everything.

message 131: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Grillby could probably take pretty good care of her, especially now that Sans had taken out the rest of the attackers. Jenny screamed when the sword came out, pulling her leg close and holding it tightly.

message 132: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She slowly uncurled, tears streaming down pained cheeks. She didn't know what was going on, mentally retreating.

message 133: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She relaxed, but her mind remained repressed, at least for now.

message 134: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Jenny was still asleep... but she was at peace, for now. It was a good thing she'd come when she had, even if she had been mostly useless..

message 135: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((Would bad guys be hunting?))

She slowly seeped into consciousness. Her leg hurt so much. So did her head. She felt weak with blood loss. Where was everyone?

message 136: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She sighed. "Have you any water?" she asked, kicking the covers down. Her pants were torn where the blade had cut in, and she was sweating through her shirt, feverish.

message 137: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She shook her head. "Thank you. Just water. You saved me..." She drank, downing the entire glass in seconds. What she would't do for ice.

message 138: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Won't they come for you?" she asked, weakly reaching for the pitcher. She hesitated and pulled back.

message 139: by Ilsa (last edited Jul 01, 2016 09:24PM) (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She nodded, drinking again. She shook all over. "Where is he? Did... did he live?" Jean sucked on her breath, terrified of the answer she was sure he was going to give.

message 140: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She nodded. "He's Gonna be okay," she breathed in relief. She wanted to take his hand, but it was on fire. "Thank you... Again. I truly am indebted to you." She closed her eyes, leaning back. "I don't want anyone to hurt you. You shouldn't help us. If you must... Hide us."

message 141: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "He... Save me a little. Gave me some sanity and saved my life. I guess we sort of saved each other, but... He's a good person. At least ten times better than me. I've never done anything great or good. E has, and he's only been punished. I guess my death would be nothing If it kept him alive."

message 142: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She bit her lip. "I'm mediocre, at best. I don't deserve his help or anyone's... But I have it, and I will never be grateful enough." Jenny finished her second glass of water, relaxing.

message 143: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Her face flushed with color. Maybe it was time, then, to tell him about the cracks in her soul, and just why she was inadequate. Why no lives should be lost for her sake. Despite Grillby's orders, she forced herself to her feet to go talk with Sans.

message 144: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((Holy crud that is traumatic.))

Jenny entered as he burst from the bed. "Midnight! Are you okay?" She definitely shouldn't be on that. She knew nothing of the demon. Of the brother's promise that she had fulfilled. Of everything. She just... Wanted him to know. "I... Have something to tell you."

message 145: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((You killed Papy! :,( ))

Se took a deep breath and approached him, crawling into the bed. "It's about... My soul. Damage like that only comes from going so far against one's own nature that te soul cannot bear it. Midnight, I..." She gulped down tears. "I killed. That's why I ran up the mountain to escape. I..." She touched his hand, then pulled back. "I'm sorry. I'm not worthy of your friendship or loyalty."

message 146: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments ((Poor little guy.))

"I didn't mean to, but I did. He was following me home, another kid from school, so I told him to go away and pushed him. He fell off of the street and into traffic," she explained, feeling horrible. "He was just goofing off and I- I- killed him."

To be honest, though, the cracks probably weren't from that. Probably from the years of home abuse and stuff, but she didn't see it that way.

message 147: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She looked away. "But I did kill him... And I have to live with that." She seemed overwhelmed with grief, face contorting in inner agony. Even if he could forgive her, how could she ever forgive herself? How could the boy's family ever forgive her?

message 148: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments She looked at Sans, biting her lip. "But it was my fault." She couldn't say much more, already choking on her breath. "Thank you, but... I'm not worth any of your efforts."

message 149: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments "Why. Why don't you take my soul? With it, you could befriend the others and free everyone. I'm not worth your pain." She sighed and felt her stomach constricting. "It would be easy for you."

message 150: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 1006 comments Jenny bit her lip. "I've warned you. I'm not valuable," she said, touching his hand once. She pulled back. The bone was cold. None meant dead. Striped of life. She had every reservation. "I don't know what I'll do. But wouldn't the freedom of all these people be worth more than my life?"
