Works for Quest Card #2 Isotropic: One of the central premises of the book is time travel predicated on overcoming the law of the conservation of mass: i.e. That the mass of an object is immutable across time. So in this instance the physical property (mass) is the same value when measured across two directions (the past and the future). Taken from page 409 "The rule is simple: in a closed system, mass cannot be created or destroyed, and the universe is the largest closed system there is. So you can't duplicate a mass by sending it back in time: the law of conservation would be violated."
