My list of currently reading books are ever growing, not to mention the almost out of control TBR list. Starting this list to keep track of what I am reading and what I plan to read in near future. Any comments are most welcome.

Best of luck!
Midnight's Children is really good! I hope you will enjoy it. Sadly I don't know the other books you have listed except for Sacred Games. I liked it but it wasn't mindblowing.

Thanks Rishit. Best thing about this is that is a labor of love. :)

Nice list Indrani. If you are very fond of Bhima you should try Randamoozham originally written in Malayalam.
Akanksha wrote: "Midnight's Children is one of the best books I've ever come across!"Thanks Akanksha.. starting soon....
Indrani wrote: "Thanks Rebecca. Is Randamoozham available in English?"
Yes, I think so.
Bhima Lone Warrior
It is available for free from the author website which is given in GR URL link. I downloaded it just now. And Indrani, you have TBR'd it. :D :D

It is also translated by another person
Bhimsen
First time I am looking at such a phenomenon. Wonder whether both translations will be alike :D

I'm a slow reader with hardly an hour of reading per day these days. No hurries on when to start :)

I am working today but hopefully tonight I would be able to read Ghachar Ghochar.@Syl, How's "Let the Right One In"? I am thinking of bumping it up the queue for a light read. by the way have you read Camilla Lackberg? I found her books to be quite good.
In certain cases, me in yours.
I really feel, that a batch of us are doing a " here we go round the mulberry bush" sort of thingy with our reads :-P :-D

Indrani, I am at 10% or so, and so far it looks good. Paranormal , by the way.
Camilla - don't remember reading. Will check up on her works and update here.

Oh! I am not that fond of paranormal generally. :) lets see if my library has a copy.

Yes, if you get a chance. The feisty female protagonist and the slightly befuddled male protagonist are very well written. As the series progresses, their life is well described along with the mysteries. I felt the writer has done a good job of writing about a working mother's life (though I think that comes later in the series)
Don't you sometimes think it would be nice to be able to test-read a book a bit before committing to buy?
Indrani, you can do it by ordering Kindle preview for free. All books available in Kindle stores can be downloaded (first few pages, I mean) to see whether it is your kind.
I do that nowadays, even if I want to buy a hard copy.

That's a good idea. Will do.

Ghachar Ghochar done. Feeling a bit disturbed/upset. This must have been my longest review.@Syl/Sri, would love your comments (please see review)...
saw the review, Indrani. I had loved it a lot, and had given 5 stars.
Then I read your reasons for 3 stars, and was mollified :P
Another of my 5 star has been ascribed 3 star by another of my friends... :P :P

I think I will re-read this one.another 250 odd pages left on sacred games. i am keen to finish. but would miss inspector Sartaj Singh.
Are you doing a buddy read for Midnight's Children? If so, I'd love to join in for a re-read. It's one of my favourites.Want to see what a BR looks like.
Yes Akanksha, we intend to do a BR for it.
I have created a separate thread to take further discussion there.
Indrani will confirm the start date.
Thanks for joining in :)

Bhimsen is an unexpected gem. I mostly always like the re-tellings of Mahabharata. This one is especially luscious. Thanks for the solid recommendations.
Chalo.. Sacred Games is completed.. While it is a lovely lovely book, I have to confess, I was worried I would not finish and get distracted with many lighter reads.. Very happy that I persisted and completed the novel. It's not a difficult read by any means though.
