Barbara picks for me!
Target Practice:
[bookcover:Death at the Summit|27..."Hi, Kay! I haven't read any of your chosen series, so I am taking a chance . . . I pick the Target Practice series for you. They sound really interesting, and I love the idea of the archery competition backdrop. I might just have to look into this series for myself. Hope you enjoy them . . . and let me know what you think.
Happy reading!

Hi, Sharon. Thank you for choosing for me. I am looking forward to reading more of Goldy! I have only 4 books left in the series, so it's a really good choice -- hope to get "caught up" soon. I have tried some of the recipes and found them to be quite good. Hopefully these books will have some enticing ones as well.
I'm fairly new to this group, too, but it's been fun so far! Good luck with your picks this month and welcome to the group!
Jeannie wrote: "Shellii I pick the Heather Blake series for you. I have read some of her other books and enjoyed them. I haven't read these yet. Let me know what you think of them. Have fun."
Thank you, Jeannie! It will be really great to be caught up in this series!
Happy July reading, Jeannie

Enjoy your day!

"Thanks Barbara, I'm itching to get started on this series now!
Hi Jill, You have a couple of series by Victoria Hamilton that I am interested in as well. Therefore, it was difficult to pick between them. However, I am going to with the Vintage Kitchen series. Can't wait to hear how you like them!
Hi Lori, You have some great books here. My picks for you are the Hannah Swensen series.

Thanks April. I've seen those movies as well and I've read the first book in the series. I can't wait to continue!

Ty Julesy, I was hoping that was picked for me.....I will let you know how it is
Kenna, I choose for you:Anne Granger's Lizzie Martin series, which sounds so interesting that I'm adding it to my own to-read list! This series sounds like a cross between Sherlock Holmes and a Jane Austen novel. I hope you enjoy it!
Anna Catharina, I'm choosing Agatha Raisin for you, as that is the only one of your nominated series I'm familiar with.

Troll wrote: "Thanks, Connie! I am shooting to finish 3rd and 4th book in the series in July."I read White House Mystery #3 and #4 for this challenge back in February and enjoyed them both. Happy reading!

Thanks!
Finished my first July book:
It was okay, the first and the last 80 pages were good, but the middle was just a little bit boring. I hope the next book will be better.
I finished the first book for the challenge. I read Thread of Deceit by Mae Fox. The book was alright but wasn't great.
I finished my first book for the July serial challenge,
Kelly's Koffee Shop. I enjoyed it a lot even though it was pretty short. I liked the mystery but didn't care for the narrator. I think I will read the 2nd book in ebook rather than audio.
have read both of mine and enjoyed them immensely! will be reading on in this series. :)Murder on Washington Square 7.7
Murder on Gramercy Park 7.2

I finished my first book for July:
. Overall, a good book. I liked the way the mystery evolved and that we got a more in-depth look at Goldy and Tom's relationship. Looking forward to the next book.
Finished my series for this month... Target Practice. What a wonderful series! Just LOVE Moo! I'll be sharing this series with the DH, and can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!
Yesterday I finished my second July book:
. I liked it a bit more than the book before, the description of Snoth-on-Sea was quite entertaining. I don't like James Lacey, so I hope it's all over and never starts again! A quick and easy read.
I have read three of the books on my list. The two Jackie picked for me and the next one on the list buy my July has turned out to be super busy and I am not sure I can get any more finished. It has been fun though.
Finished my second book for the month,
, don't know if I'll get another done as I'm getting busy with back to school stuff.
Finished my first July challenge book, Kerry Greenwood's Death before Wicket last night. Probably one of my favourite Phryne Fishe books so far, as it's set in my home town of Sydney. For those who find the cricketing title a bit daunting, cricket is only a minor part of the story.
I finished my second book for July,
, and I enjoyed it much more than the previous book. There was a lot of humor along with the mystery and a bit more of insight into the ongoing relationships. I will be taking the August challenge off as I will be watching the Olympics. Look forward to rejoining the challenge in September
Finally finished reading my first book for July but not because I did not enjoy it! So sorry to be lagging, so.
This is a good installment to, A Wishcraft Mystery series.
I would recommend a box of tissues be handy as this particularly sweet addition ties up.
Really enjoying the variety of scenerios this author presents and appreciated getting to know and understand more of Starla's character.

Finished reading my first book Threaded for Trouble yesterday. Good mystery with an unusual murder weapon (a sewing machine). Several suspects and a culprit that kept me guessing.
I'll be finishing my second book from this month's serial challenge this morning. I read the Cedar Bay series by Dianne Harman. It was an okay series, but I don't think I will be continuing with this series. I did the audio for these 2 books and I think the narrator ruined it for me, unfortunately.
Finished my second book for the challenge - Thread and Buried. Good mystery with significant developments in the characters lives as well.
I'm finished with my first serial reader challenge. Yeah! I am still a bit out of order -- but that's in part due to what my library has in ebooks. I rarely walk through the doors anymore. But I did read Murder Under Cover (#4) Murder under Cover and Books of a Feather (#10) Books of a Feather in Kate Carlisle's Bibliophile Mysteries. Looking forward to August.
P.S. to Nell -- thanks for you patience with my learning curve. ;-)
