You're welcome! Oh my goodness! You read a book a day! That's wonderful! I wish I was a quick reader like you. You get to enjoy so many books a year.

Karina,
I am so excited by your picks! I cannot wait to get started. Thank you!
EnglishElle wrote: "You're welcome! Oh my goodness! You read a book a day! That's wonderful! I wish I was a quick reader like you. You get to enjoy so many books a year."*laughs* I don't always succeed in my daily goal, though! My yearly goal fluctuates between 350 and 400 books, though for the past two years, I've gotten about 415 books read per year. Course, Goodreads does count novellas, which helps with that total!

I actually haven't read any of these but many of them seem really interesting! I have picked
and
. I hope you like my picks!"Ooh, thanks. I'm so bad, and have had that copy of The Serpent's Shadow for about nine years and stiiiiiiiiill haven't read it (even though it's one of my favorite authors and one of her best series), and I've wanted to read The Cat Who Could Read Backwards for awhile now (I've read two books later in the series and adored them), and finally lucked out and found a copy at a thrift store (along with about a dozen others from that series, all for $0.29 each *squee!*). But now comes the severe impatience for next month to get here. The only bad part about this challenge.

Thanks Debbie! Unfortunately, it's very much winter where I am, so I'll have to enjoy these reads wrapped in a blanket, with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. :)

..."Erica, I know you are new to the group, but this is a deadline challenge. You had to have had your Dusty Bookshelf up BEFORE June 22nd at 9:30 am EST in order to be paired with someone to have them pick two of these books for you. Sadly, you are ineligible to participate this month, but if you save this shelf until July 15th, you'd be eligible to participate in the August Dusty Bookshelf challenge! Hope to see you then!
P.S. If you're really desperate for someone to pick a book for you, feel free to check out the Give Me 5... challenge, located HERE.

Mary, you are supposed to pick 2 books for Candy from her list of choices....
And yes, Jenn picked for you... see either post 109 or post 13 to see what she picked for you...

Kay, thank you so much for stepping up and explaining this to Mary while I was sleeping! I really appreciate you doing it!
Mary wrote: "Mary wrote: "Mary's Dusty Bookshelf I picked Fangirl

Yes, she did, Mary. In post 109, dated June 22nd and located HERE, she selected
and
for you.Kay (Brigidsmomma) is also correct in that you must choose TWO books from Candy's shelf in order for your obligation to be complete. If you do not do so by tomorrow morning at 9:30 am EST, I will have no choice but to mark you down for an incomplete post and will have to assign someone else to pick for Candy.

Not a problem Trea, and if you need, I will repick for Candy. I hate to see anyone miss out of the fun!
Kay (Brigidsmomma) wrote: "Not a problem Trea, and if you need, I will repick for Candy. I hate to see anyone miss out of the fun!"Thanks for the offer, Kay! We'll see if Mary corrects things by the deadline tomorrow morning or not, and if she doesn't, I'll let you know!
Kay (Brigidsmomma) wrote: "Not a problem Trea, and if you need, I will repick for Candy. I hate to see anyone miss out of the fun!"Kay, go ahead and repick for Candy. I'll let it be your choice on whether or not you keep Mary's one pick for Candy or not. Please try to pick for her today!
Candy, I apologize that you don't have your picks on time. Thank you very much for your patience and hopefully you'll have something good to read by the end of the day today!
Candy: Here's my picks for you:
and
because Fangirl comes highly recommended and Stephen King is an awesome writer, even if I can't read his stuff personally (I have too vivid of an imagination)!Enjoy these books, and I too am sorry you had to wait for your picks.

Thank you, Kay, for volunteering for repicks! With that, everyone should have picks, so have an awesome month of reading and we'll see you again on the 15th of July!
Sunshine✰✰✰ read my first pick which was
it was a 2 star for me:here is the to the review :https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished the first of my picks,
. This one wasn't near as good as the other two I've read from the same series, but I think I found out why. Turns out the first three in the series were written in the late sixties, and the rest of the series was written in the late eighties to the early/mid nineties, so I think maybe her writing style must've changed (the jump between when #3 and #4 were published was eighteen years). I'd only read the later books so far, so...But it was still good, don't get me wrong. It's like watching a pretty good movie right after watching the bestest movie evar. Now that Qwill has Koko, I think things in the next book oughta pick up a fair amount. It was strange, him not having either cat. Four out of five stars, but probably only because my expectations were set too high by later books in the series.
Heya, EnglishElle! I just finished
this morning. I really didn't care for it, but I needed to read it to know if it was worth spending the money on the rest of the series now that the publisher is going out of business. So, I'm really glad it got picked, even though I didn't enjoy it much! Thank you!
Colleen the Avid Reader, Geek Girl, and Jedi's Mom picked for me:
Fear, Hope, and Bread Pudding ★★★★★ This was a bit heart-breaking to read, but had a satisfying and happy-ending
Undercover Boyfriend ★★★★ This book was exactly what I had hoped for. Funny and bit OTT. I had a good time reading this.
Thanks for these picks!
