The Westing Game- Week 3

The second book I chose for this week is The Westing Game. The Westing Game is a mystery fiction novel for young teen readers grades 5-8. This book is full of suspense as it follows six heirs challenge to find out the cause of death of millionaire Sam Westing. Students will stay engaged throughout the story as past and present secrets emerge throughout the challenge. This book will be great as a literature circle or as an individual book report. I think it would be better as a literature circle so that students are able to analyze different parts of the story and discuss details that one person may not have been able to catch reading themselves, This book is an introductory book for students who will begin reading young adult novels.
