I'm looking for a book that I've read in the past year where the author is talking about a fake word he's made up, and has made a game of including it in essays and term papers, to see if teachers catch it.
I believe there's a plot point where a teacher finally calls it, outright, and the student, after so many years of it working, actually tries to contest it.
Flagging a post will send it to the Goodreads Customer Care team for review.

I know that's vague. Any ideas?
